I'm sure I'll think of many others.
I have the first three, thinking about All About My Mother and Talk to her, but Intacto REALLY sounds cool.

The low price is inviting also. Thanks a lot.

Pretty sure you can still get those as enrollments at CH.

Definitely check out Intacto though. Also, although it's in Portuguese rather than Spanish, I highly recommend Bus 174.

Did not expect to make another purchase, but I just couldn't resist:

ADVENTURES OF ANTOINE DOINEL (CRITERION) $ 57.56

I love The 400 Blows, and have been dying to see the other films and, considering MSRP is $99.95, saving $ 42.39 is pretty nice. Hell, the $14.40 promotional discount is sweet enough.

You won't regret it. The set is amazing. Granted, I'm obsessed with all things New Wave, but this is still my favorite DVD set of all the ones I own.

Not sure if this has been covered, but...

Does anyone have any idea of when the 11/15 DVD releases (Scrubs S2, Madagascar etc.) will be switched to sale eligible. For example is it at midnight eastern/central time? or 6Am tomorrow?
I'm dying to submit my last order and would like to do it before bed tonight.
And also while those new releases are still in-stock.

Thanks

Bus 174 sounds like ANOTHER winner. Yeah, bring on films in any foreign language, that's be great too.

I was wondering if creekdipper had heard back from DDD about 'Tales from Avonlea'? I was interested in ordering it too.

Does anyone know what's up with THE PINKY VIOLENCE COLLECTION?

DVDPricesearch has it released tomorrow, along with Digital Eyes, DVDPlanet and Overstock. Buy.com is already shipping it, and DVDEmpire says 12/6, but DDD has it for 1/1.

Obviously I'd like to order it tomorrow to take advantage of the sale. Is this a mistake like the Director's Label set?

I'm mostly into French and Italian cinema, so here are some well-priced recommendations:

L'Atalante
Bay of Angels
Blow-Up
Death in Venice
My Life to Live
My Night at Maud's
Night of the Shooting Stars
Padre Padrone
Red Lights (excellent, but unsure of price)
The Story of Adele H.
The Umbrellas of Cherbourg
With a Friend Like Harry

I know someone asked about a similar situation earlier...

I ordered Firefly about 2 minutes after the codes went active and paid ~29.xx after discount. Then the price, of course, dropped to its current price which is ~23.xx after discount. After a couple emails back and forth with DDD customer service (they misunderstood my request more than once) they credited back the $5.23 cent difference or whatever.

Once again, DDD rocks. Thanks for a great sale, you have successfully taken every penny I have.

Okay, need some opinions on the following (none of which I have seen):

--Eerie, Indiana: The Complete Series (huge Twilight Zone fan)
--The Flaming Lips: Fearless Freaks (I own Yoshimi, Soft Bulletin & Transmissions CD's)
--Lifeboat (I own and love the Criterion Hitchock box + Steinbeck's my favorite author)
--Unfaithfully Yours (Sturges version) (Is this as enjoyable as "Sullivan's Travels" -- an all-time favorite of mine -- or even "The Lady Eve"?)

Best to just quote the dvdtown review of the set, as I agree with it:

There are bad movies, and then there are bad movies which are distasteful and offensive. The “Mirror, Mirror” movies are merely bad. The filmmakers don’t seem to be mean-spirited or exploitative; they’re just not very good and probably tried their best (the third film excepted.)

The movies themselves aren’t truly awful either, and perhaps that’s a problem. If they were terrible, or outrageously gory. or, in any way, stood out as examples of dreadful filmmaking, they might look forward to a healthy cult following. “Bloodsucking Freaks” will live forever. “Mirror, Mirror” will most likely just be forgotten as another pedestrian example of poor, low-grade horror schlock.

Eerie, Indiana: The Complete Series is completely worth it. It is a children's show, but it's not one of those that talk down to children. There's romance and drama, and death, but overall it is very fun and weird. Joe Dante worked on this show, and the episodes he directed are some of the best television, especially Heart on a Chain. Plus the guest stars are all really great. The final episode of the series (Reality Takes a Holiday) is a perfect end.

1. Skip Eerie, Indiana. I loved the show as a kid and tried watching it again on DVD pretty recently. It's very much a kids' show (albeit a good one) and, for me at least, is difficult to watch as an adult.

2. Buy the Flaming Lips disc. You're obviously enough of a fan to like it, and the price is good.

3. Buy Lifeboat. Not one of Hitchcock's best films, but still quite good.

4. Buy (or rent) Unfaithfully Yours. I don't like it as much as Sullivan's Travels, but it's still very witty. As a fan of Sturges, you should at least see it once.

Not from me, I should actually stop checking because I'm out of money to spend. And I already added MORE to my wishlist after my second order and that was just a few horus ago. Guess those will wait to June.

EDIT: I know we aren't supposed to talk about the DDD sale until it happens. But since it is happening now, can we go ahead and talk about the next one... right?

I'm just waiting to place my last order, unless the will power i have fails me for the Buffy collection. Its hard for me to double dip that much money onto something that is exactly the same except for packaging and bonus disk.
