I got Great Dangaioh 1, Project Arms 7-9, and Hyper Dolls at Big Lots today. I also saw Hamtaro (not sure what volumes but I saw 3 of them) and a whole lot of Zoids going up to I think volume 5. They had a couple L/R and Master Keaton, I may check them out in the future. I was hoping for Gungrave and Chobits.

I placed my order for this earlier today. Just wanted to say thanks. Hope they don't cancel it, sorta sucks they already charged my CC on a preorder though.

Added the for sure ones, holding back on the ones that you're not 100% sure on (the volumes, anyway). Thanks.

Their list price is $19.99. Correct list price is $49.99.

Use coupon 69354 for free shipping.

There is a regular edition that they have the correct price for.
Amazon is selling it for $13.99: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0009WFEH8/

Historically speaking, Amazon tends not to honor misprice while Overstock often does, but Overstock charges your CC upfront.

Good luck and STAY AWAY FROM THE ANIME...at least until you've passed. You know, once you get a degree and a high-paying career, you'll be able to spend even more on it.

Best,

I have had to stay away from practically everything (well, except the Internet because I can hardly live without it, and it's distraction enough) because of these summer classes! I don't think I'll be getting into one of those high-paying careers since I'm looking to better the world or make a difference, but I'll happily resume my anime ventures once these two classes are over for my whole less than two weeks of summer vacation. Ha ha.

Hmm, browsing through the weekly specials, one pretty good deal I see is King of Bandit Jing DVD 1 (Hyb) + Artbox: $9.99. That'll have to hold you folks off until Saturday afternoon/evening. Unless there's some small update I can make in the meantime. Thanks for all your help as always.

Don't get the King of Bandit Jing DVD 1 + Box, unless the extras are important to you. ADV will be releasing King of Bandit Jing Collection (thinpak) for $39.99 MSRP on 10/18. So the whole series should be less than $30 when it streets.

Good call. Must be why it's so cheap.

For anyone that is thinking about getting into Wolf's Rain, I would advise against buying volumes 2, 3 and 4 from Best Buy for $11.99 each. You would then need to find the same deal on the rest of the series to match the current deal at Rightstuf. Rightstuf has Wolf's Rain-the Complete Collection up for preorder with a release date of November 22. This set contains the entire series with the CD soundtrack housed in a Collector's Box. The list price is $149.98, but the Bandai coupon(blazing) is applicable, making the price $89.98 with free shipping. You can also get another 10%($8.99) off if you have the GA membership.

My local BestBuy B&M shelved a bunch of pre-releases in their anime section. The huge Limited Edition packaging of Samurai7 is really slick...very eye-catching. As noted weeks in advance, vol.3 of Scrapped Princess Collector's Edition is marked $26.99, but only includes a 5" toy figurine of the main character (no more awesome bust statues).

Scrapped Princess vol.3 DVD w/ Toy $26.99
Samurai7 Limited Edition Set $33.99 (Cheaper at DDD, though)

Is the package for Scrapped Princess Vol.3 /w figurine much smaller than the Vol.1 & 2, since the figurine is smaller?

The overall design and size of the package seems identical to previous volumes of Scrapped Princess. I got so excited when I spotted the $26.99 pricetag on the giant box, but once I flipped it over to reveal the cruddy mini-figurine on the window side....what a let-down. Oh well...

I stopped by a Big Lots again today, I picked up Corrector Yui and Zoids 1-6. The first two Zoids have white cases while the others are standard black. Any reason for this?

Thanks, got the Zoids. Any particular volumes of Corrector Yui, or all of them, or what?

Also, I don't know of any reason for the white cases.

Did another quick update for the weekly specials. Sorry, I'm still kinda pooped. I will resume the regular weekly specials next week, I promise!!

Hi justbarelymovin,

First, let me thank you for the thread...I check it often. Also, hope you get all A's!!

I signed up to let everyone know about the $3 anime DVD's showing up at your local Dollar General's (I know, I know, cheap store. But a bargain is a bargain.)

Getting to the point...here is what I saw:

Vandread Stage 1 (volume 1)
Beyblade (Many various season 1)
Gatekeepers (volumes 2, 4, 6)
Sailor Moon Super S (Unsure of volumes)
Tenchi (Lots of it, variety of seasons & movies)

There are a few others....darn....can't remember now. Shoulda' wrote them down.

Corrector Yui is the first DVD, though not marked #1 or anything it has the first 5 episodes.

anifan, are Dollar General stores a nation wide chain? I live in CA and while I know of many Dollar stores, never seen a Dollar General specifically.
