Of all places, the store FYE has an amazing deal on the 6 disc Steve McQueen set from Warners.

Reg $64.99
Sale $39.99

I assume that the $39.99 price is for the B&M because it's $45.99 online before the $10 rebate. I'll have to swing by the mall tomorrow to get it for $39.99. Thanks for the info, Doug.

are there any active coupons that would sweeten this deal a bit for those like me that don't have a B&M nearby? The memorial day coupons are no longer active.

The FYE near Radio City Music Hall did not have this deal. The Warner Steve McQueen set was price $54.99 before rebate.

Update : I stopped by again after work and the Warner Steve McQueen was
now marked at $39 . Ten dollar rebate came with the receipt.

Thanks for the heads up on a great deal

Thanks for posting deal! Does anyone know where to mail this rebate offer? The guy at the store had no clue.

I would have the cashier check the price if it isn't showing this deal.
When I bought my copy, the girl rang it up, looked at the price, and said to her co-worker...

See what happens when you correctly price things??? People buy it.

So, there must have been some confusion with this price.

I know the MGM version, which contains less movies, was more money.

YMMV but the FYE at the Cape Cod Mall has Rocky and Bullwinkle Season 1 priced at $14.99 (minus $10 rebate equals $4.99 plus the tax on 14.99, the total would be $5.75 in Massachusetts).

It is still ok to send in the UPC from the wrapper, right? If I have to mutilate the boxes I will not buy any TV season sets but I will cut up the slipcase from the Steve McQueen set if necessary.

Johnny, the rebate address is at the top of the back of the form.

The nearest FYE to me (Springfield, OR) didn't have the set in stock, but I was allowed to special order it (pre-paid in full) for the sale price of $39.99; thus, not only getting the great price but qualifying for the $10 mail-in rebate.

Another thanks to Mr. Schiller for starting this thread.

Is the rebate form by the front desk, or do you have to ask for it?

Thanks,
jg

Apparently the after rebate prices of $4.99 on Rocky and Bullwinkle and $14.99 on the Shield Season One that I saw at the Hyannis, Mass FYE on Monday were in error because now the prices have been raised to 9.99 and 24.99 respectively.

Johnny, the cashier just gave me a copy of the form which she tore off a pad that was at the register. It is printed in purple ink on white paper and has all of the eligible sets listed on it. It says that you have to submit an original form so there is no point in someone scanning it and posting a link.

Order it online with the 15% off code on June 8th only and the price is $39.09 plus tax and shipping. In-store, they have the price lowered to $39.99 plus tax. Both comes with the $10 mail-in-rebate.

This might be common knowlege, but I didn't know Coconuts was part of FYE, they had this deal at my Coconuts place this afternoon(don't think we have FYE's in this area), and I was able to pick up the Essential Steve McQueen. Thanks for the heads up! Too bad you gotta razor off the UPC code, but for $30, it eases the pain.

The box isn't that thick since it's not a signature collection. I don't mind cutting off the upc for once.

Checked the FYE in Georgetown, price was $64.99 and on sale for $59.99. I had them scan it to make sure. No luck in DC...

I went to an FYE in Orlando, Fl and they were charging me $39.99 plus tax. But the guy couldn't get the $10 rebate form to print up and he gave me an instant rebate. He charged me just $29.99 + tax. Talk about getting lucky. I might go back and purchase the other one they had and sell it on ebay

I weighed this deal against the upcoming Costco deal. It turns out they will be the same. I checked with Costco member service (from the item code in the coupon book) yesterday and the Sticker price will be $39.99. If you buy during the week of 7/11-17 Costco will take an additional $10.00 off (I believe at the register).

I decided to go with FYE since they had the set available at the $39.99 sale price and the cashier was able to locate the coupon book (Father's Day) with the $10 off. I know I won't get the money back until July-August but the sucker is in my hands now.

Another one I can take off the DDD wish list since the 20% sale won't touch this deal.

My FYE had the set on sale, but knew nothing about the rebate. This isn't the first time this has happeneded either. I was told most rebates were only on new stuff even though that is a new release. I really dislike the manager and service I get in there. I think I'll stick with their Web site if I order from them at all.

You can print out the rebate form by going to fye.com, searching for the Essential Seve McQueen set and click the link.

So you know, the rebate form is also for 24/seanson 1 ($15), Buffy Season 1 ($5), Cheers Season 1 ($5), Frasier Season 1($5),some Seinfields, Sopranos and a few more.

Really appreciate the heads up on this one. I went to the store and it had a sticker for 44.99 after rebate. They rang it up and 39.99 plus tax out the door. Add in the rebate and this is one of the deals of the year (for me at least).
Thanks again!

I picked this up as well. It had the $39.99 sticker but rang up at I think either $54.99 or $59.99. Definitely a great deal considering it's also a Parago rebate (same company as Staples and Rite Aid and the TWEC old rebate company) rather than Archway which sucks.
