Now that the December thread is up(BTW, great job justbarelymovin
 ), DDD has dropped their prices on quite a bit of titles(mostly Geneon). The discount appears to be half off list. Best Buy has a decent sale going on for Anime box sets: Best Buy Anime Sale
I just picked up the new Fruits Basket box set for 40% off list: Fruits Basket Best Buy Link . I picked up Vol 1 and really enjoyed it, very touching story, although the language (mainly from one surly character) keeps the rating at PG-13, although my kids didn't have a problem with it. |

What an incredible number of DVDs on sale at DDD! I'm willing to take some recommendations to help me in going through the sale titles. I'm interested in getting more Anime for my daughters (ages 9 and 11). My oldest loves the Miyazaki films, no futuristic sci-fi/android shows, something more tame along the lines of Panda-Go-Panda would be nice. Starting with the 'A's, I'm interested in "A Little Snow Fairy Sugar Box" and "Ah! My Goddess" so far.

It's only a dollar more than the 20% off sale. I got mine for $23.99 ($29.99 - 20% off) and I still haven't received it yet. A lot of anime titles from Bandai and Geneon is practically half off the MSRP. Very good deal! |

Ugh. This is killing me. I can't keep ordering this many anime films. I still haven't made it all the way through my Kino's Journey DVDs and I've got such a huge backlog now, it may be time to stop.
Quick question for you guys, is there any way to get an artbox after purchasing a DVD? For instance, I just got Gungrave vol 1, but didn't get the artbox version. Any way I can track that down without having to purchase it all over again? Thanks, -B |

Gld to see someone's on the same page. I just ordered the Rurouni Kenshin series one and two, as well as a ton of others. I'm tempted to do this DDD thing, but I don't know. Maybe I should actually buy some Christmas gifts for someone else.
Ok, I looked up contact information for Geneon to see if they have any boxes for sale, but they suggested contacting them via snail mail through Rightstuf.com. I paid $14 for the first volume and really hate the idea of shelling out another $20 to buy it all over again, particuarly as I can't really get my money back by trading it in at a used DVD retailer. I don't know. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks, -B |

Wow, GTO for $24, what a steal. I paid $50 for it when it first came out and I must say, it was worth every penny. One of the best anime ever released. Oh, by the way, Gundam Zeta box set is still on sale for $119 for those who haven't order it yet. Mine just shipped today. Can't wait.
