I went into Target when the first opened Tuesday and I only saw 2 on the shelf, away from the usual new release endcap. I went ahead and picked it up as a Christmas present for my wife.

Good thing Target has rainchecks. I am going to go Saturday to try to pick it up for my wife. If not just will get a raincheck.

got the last one in the huge supertarget on Main in Houston at 1pm -- strange to advertise something and get so few copies. I suppose pricematching at Best Buy risks one being tagged an undesirable customer now!

Went ahead and price matached at CC. They had an error in their ad. They advertised for $39.99 when it was $29.99, so I got it for $24.49 + tax

The local Target here was out by Tuesday afternoon. Of course, Buy.com now has it at 26.49 (and it qualifies for free shipping, -I did a "test check-out"), -and that's essentially the same price after sales tax at Target. DDD should follow with a slightly lower price and I don't need it right away...

Anyone get a rain check from Target? What's the percentage off?

But Target's add says $24.99 so shouldn't CC price match for $22.50?

Nope, you get 10% of the difference which $29.99 - $24.99 = $5.00 * (10%) = $0.50

no, CC PM's the price plus 10% off the difference.

CC has it for $29.99, Target has it for $24.99

The difference is $5 so 10% of that is $0.50. $24.99 - $0.50 = $24.49

Thanks for the info. I was (obviously) thinking they went 10 percent off the best price.

As has been said earlier, it is now difficult to find GWTW in stock at Target . Price matching seems best bet or going to Costco if you are a member. Costco also has it for $24.99 and seems to be well stocked.

I had no problem finding several copies on the shelf at the Fair Lakes Target in Northern VA. I'm willing to bet I could find it at the Burke and Springfield ones also.

I'm planning to go to Fair Lakes Target tomorrow to get a copy. Thanks for the heads up!

My Target was out so I got a raincheck.

It's 17 percent off the normal price of $29.99.

You think that's pricey? For a 4-disc set? Heck, 2-disc sets like this usually go for at least $20. Sheesh, I was estatic that someplace had it this cheap!

Also, I went to get this tonight at the Target in South Portland, Maine and they didn't have any on the shelf (there was only room for 2 or 3 there). I asked about it and the manager or whatever gave me a big schpiel about how they can't give rainchecks for any items listed "as advertised", only for something that says "on sale" because the "as advertised" ones are meant to move a limited amount of stock. Has anyone had experience with this policy before? Regardless, I had him check if they had any more in the back, and they did. So, if you're going to Target and the shelf is empty, you might want to at least look into that option too.

Sounds like BULL!

The guy wrote down the number and said to hit the service desk. They wrote one up in ten seconds.

I price matched at Best Buy yesterday and was able to get it for $22.49 plus tax. The clerk actually called Target to see if it was in stock (luckily, it was). I've price matched a lot at BB and they've never done that.
