Combined Weekly Ad Breakdown 10/24 thru 10/30/04

To make it easier on everyone, I thought i'd kind of combine all the Weekly Ad info into one thread.

I only listed titles once (cheapest price), unless more than one store had it for same price.

Does not include Fry's, Costco, etc...as they are not in my area and I don't have the printed ad to refer to.

Note that the ad shows the Jeepers Creepers Special Ed, though they were all out at my store and the regular edition was on the table. I don't think it's a misprint since the regular price on the SE is only $9.99, same as the non-SE.

Edit : Hmm - now that I did some research, it looks like MGM has done away with all the special features except the commentary - the one at BB (which does not say SE) matches the UPC for the SE at Deep discount DVD, which lists deleted scenes and a featurette.

unfortunately, MGM has been changing their SEs to bare-bones releases and they still keep the same UPC #. They did this so far with Bull Durham, Jeepers Creepers, and Bowling for Columbine. I'm sure that they've done this with others as well.

I tried to price match at CC - they had 1 copy of the Jeepers Creepers SE left, but they don't carry Evil Dead II, which was my third choice (along with Fright Night) for the 3/$20.

My local Wal-Mart had "That 70's Show - Season One" priced on the shelf at $29.99, that's cheaper than any of the current Weekly-Ad prices that i've seen. All Wally World's seem to price differently, so YMMV.

Thanks for putting the effort into doing this, but do you think in the future you could include the prices from all the ads together? It is a nice thought to only list the cheapest one, but remember that not all of us have all of these stores near us. Thanks.
