Hellboy DC: $5 Rebate

I was looking at the rebate form that came with the 2 disk release of Hellboy. It said to include the Proof of Purchase "tab" from both editions. Well, there is tab on the booklet of the 2 disk, but the directors cut only has the UPC on the box as far as I can tell. Am I missing something here, or do I have to cut up my box to get $5?

I'm in the same boat. Maybe someone (other than my lazy butt) can contact Sony/Columbia/Tri-Star and find out exactly what we're s'posed to turn in from the DC. I too am leery about cutting up my box.

Yeah, i'm not cutting up my DC box for $5...and yet there's no other POP tab inside the box, so i'm not sure what we're supposed to do.

So has anyone contacted the studio yet to see what exactly we're supposed to do? Any options besides cutting up the back of the box?

I found the POP in the Hellboy 3-DVD set. It's hidden inside the "spine" of the slipcover (not the individual cases). You have to open the closed slide of the cover, and it's one of the two tabs that helps hold the cover together.

I really think companies do things like this on purpose to discourage people from claiming their rebates. There's no reason that a POP can't be included on an insert so that you don't have to destroy the package.

IMO it's always better to have cut out a Pop in a hidden area of the slipcase than to cut out a UPC and create a hole in the slipcase.
