Wal-Mart bargain bin, full or divided?

The Wal-Mart I go to the most has a bargain bin, but instead of the entire bin devoted to DVDs they divided it in half and devoted the other half to disposable cameras.

However, a Wal-Mart about 10 miles away has a bin and the entire bin is full of DVD's. And that one has a better selection of DVDs than my usual Wal-Mart has.

I've also decided to exactly see how many stores have a full or divided bin. So I've done a poll as well.

Poll answers are for the Wal-Mart you go to the most often.

Complete.

The other week the bin was a complete mess. Then they fixed them to where they are stacked neatly, yet you cannot see under the top dvds.

And to top it all off they put a huge dvd cardboard thing around the entire outside of the bin, so you can't look in the side of the bin to see the title spine of the dvds.

Mine is usually extremely full. Before we moved here, the one we used to go to was always nearly empty, with newly reduced titles dissappearing in days.

Maybe just not enough demand around here, which is fine with me.

incomplete poll

You need a Twikoff option or "No Walmart" option.

My Wal-Mart removed the bin about two months ago when they put in a new display of widescreen TV's. I miss it, but it's kinda nice that I don't have to waste that 10 minutes every time I go to Wal-Mart.

Wasting those 10 minutes is the only reason I go to walmart!

Full to the top. Pain in the ass to find anything. I just don't bother anymore. I would much rather have them on a shelve, but if they did that they would not sell.

I pay visits at all my nearest 5 Walmart stores regularly. Different stores have their own ways of handling the bargain DVD. Here's my survey result:

Store #1 has one bin and one shelf. The bin is never organized and the DVDs buried inside are in bad shape. However, all the recently added new bargain DVDs are put on the shelf and well organized.

Store #2 has no bin but two shelves. One shelf is for newly added bargain DVDs and well organized, the other is for old leftovers and all the titles are mixed up.

Store #3 has only one bin. The DVDs in the bin are organized each night but the top layer gets messed by customers very soon. The bin is very deep(6-7 layers if DVDs are organized) but I guess no one has interest to dig to the bottom (looking like an idiot).

Store #4 has no bin but one shelf. The shelf is well organized but the selection is less than other stores, don't know why.

Store #5 has one bin and one shelf. Both bin and shelf are well organized and that's the way to treat these babies!
