SG-1 S7 best price?

Seems the SG-1 deals are few and far between these days.
So is the Costco $40 price the best we're going to get?

Depending on your preferences, I'd say probably. Me personally, I'm getting it for ~$29 after averaging via CH.

However, I do see that I got S6 of Stargate from Best Buy B&M for $30+ last April. I think I did a PM to a Fry's ad, but no notation of that is with the entry.

I always believed that getting a set for at least 50% off was doing good (B&M or online). CH just makes it easier.

I knew someone was going to bring up CH.

I don't want to purchase 6 individual movies to save on a box set. I have DVDs coming out of my ears at this point.

I lucked out and got a BN giftcard from my university, so i'm nabbing it from there at a decent price.

Excellent Deal! Thanks for telling us about it! I'm going to do the same. Oh wait, no I'm not. Nobody gave me a giftcard. Anyone else here get a giftcard? Come on now, don't be shy, speak up!

I'm sure this isn't the best answer either, but much easier than CH.

Amazon STL - $44.07.

Why do people still insist on describing to the public their own personal 'deal'? Something that the general public can't get in on?

That said, I got it for free because I stole it of the truck! Beat that, suckaz!

Ok Eric F, since you didn't like the CH mention - how about this:

Stargate Seasons (1-7) $31.83 each

Saw this posted by Stoz over @ FW.

Olny thing to hurt now is the S&H & tax.

edit to add

All 7 for me would be ($9.75 for Ground, $18.92 for 2nd day, or $25.49 for overnight) & $17.51 for tax in TX - or around $260+.

Yes, thanks. But Outpost is consistently Bait and Switch.

Shows up as $34.99 in cart. Then add $7.50 for shipping. Rather do Costco.

Shows up @ $31.83 in my cart for each season just now. Weird.

Ok, I see what you mean Eric. The 1st time I went to the page & added all 7 seasons, each showed as $31.83. When I removed each item & then re-added the season 7, it showed the $34.99 price.

Now, no matter how many seasons I specify (1-7), the season 7 price is still $34.99 & the other are $31.83. Shows the same thing in Mozilla and I didn't even use Moz until just now to test this problem.

Really weird!!

I deleted my Outpost cookies and it still shows up as $34.99 in my cart. All the other seasons show up right.

I bet Outpost jacked the price up between the time you first put it in your cart and removed it.

Outpost bait and switches all the time. They typically send you a product different from what you order. Already happened to me.

I'm going to call them tommorow and try to get the right price. I will also try to get them to refund me the money for the return shipping I paid for their mistake.

Thanks for the Outpost deal. Finally picked up 4, 5 and 7 to finish my collection. $31 and change not a bad deal for sets that typically costs $50 in stores.

And now the bastards go and change it to $34.99 on the page.

I really hope they get nailed by their local AG for shady business practices.

Well, if you have a Fry's in your area, rush over before they close tonight and get it for $34.99 (plus tax, but no shipping). That's the best price I've found.

Has anyone else found the bonus disc with a preview of Stargate Atlantis attached to their set?

I picked up my set today at ShopKo and it had it, but I noticed the sets at Wal-Mart didn't.

I got mine from amazon, it also had the bonus disc. I popped it in to watch and the intro said "previously on the 7 seasons of Stargate.." I stopped it there. I guess I will wait until I finish the box set to watch it.

Threads like this are the reason I came here and the new ruling that there are to be no 'Best Deal' or 'Best Price' threads is counter intuitive. These threads exisit because there is a value to them, one can discuss several vendors and several methods of getting the best price on a release.

Please see this thread in the feedback forum and post your views on the change in policy at DVDTalk
