Is overstock known to honor misprices?

EDIT: Darn! All the ones I wanted are out of stock now. I was able to add Paycheck to the cart but it became OOS during checkout. Congrats to those of you who got in quick.

Selling some of those DVDs for 2.00 is absurd. I wasn't able to get any that I wanted.
It was an error. I checked with the price search from dvdtalk where Beyond Borders was listed at $18 something at Overstock. I clicked on the link and it took me to the exact same Beyond Borders DVD that I missed out on, but it was at the regular price. I then used the Overstock search and it brought up the same Beyond Borders for $2, so I had both in my cart at once. The dvds were the same, but they had different catalog numbers and the $2 one was out of stock, which leads me to believe I won't get the Paycheck or Naked Gun Set that I managed to get in on earlier. I think it was a complete mistake, one they won't honor when they catch it. Just my guess, but I'm still kicking myself for not at least having a shot at Beyond Borders. I totally would have given up my Paycheck if I'd remembered that I'd been wanting to get Beyond Borders.

Not that this means anything, but the confirmation e-mail has this blurb:

"We will contact you within three business days if any difficulties
occur during the processing of your order."

I have a feeling they will be contacting A LOT of people (including myself) within 3 days.

Overstock has some wacky pricing activity on their site. I purchased the Courage Under Fire soundtrack a few days ago from them (which I received today) for $1.00. That disc is OOP and no other online retailer sells it, so I don't know what they were thinking.

BTW, overstock appears to charge or perform an authorization on your CC as soon as you place the order.

I'm a glutton for punishment, looking through the list of titles that were available. There were a lot of good movies.

Good luck.

i've bought a couple of things from overstock that seemed to have been majorly mispriced. i got a radar detector about 4 years ago that sold for $300 in stores and was $30 on their website. it was my first purchase on their site so i even got the $10 off that they gave on your first purchase. sometimes it is hard to tell if things are mispriced or if they are just trying to get rid of some inventory fast.....

The only experience I've had was with the misprice of Gotcha! which was up for pre-order at $1.99. I fully expected that in the several weeks until actual release they would cancel, but it actually shipped and was charged at the misprice.

The only experience I've had with an Overstock misprice was when I ordered the original Ocean's 11 for $0.00 They honored it, and I got it for just $1.40 shipping.

I only ordered the Naked Gun set; if I get it, great, and if I don't, no biggie.

everyone should be finding out soon. they have definitely caught the mistake now because none of the movies that were there before (in stock or out of stock) are still listed for $2.00.....

I just don't get it. I'm on DVDTalk throughout the day, every day. Yet these deals (DDD 20% error, CC pricing error, etc.) always pop up when I'm not on.

Anywho, congrats to everyone that got in on this.

Don't worry. I took a 20 min. break from this website and by the time I got back and found this thread, most of the good stuff was already out of stock.

man....

It's definitely their website that's messed up. I just checked back there to see if I could get lucky. I checked the clearance bin and all those movies were still listed as $2. Most of them are out of stock but the few that they had left, would show as 2.00 but in the checkout would be their regular price.

Looks like they really messed up last night.

I'm still pissed that I couldn't get a copy of catch me if you can, road to perdition, italian job,X2, or seabiscuit.

If anyone wants school of rock for one of those titles if you have extra, we can trade.
