Stupid work.

Ironic. The place that enables me to get money to buy DVD's is the place that hindered me from saving on said DVD's.

Correction - your order was honored -- or more likely "slipped through," lots of people, including myself had their orders cancelled. Still bitter about that one since I spent/wasted waaaay too much time picking out what I wanted.

Typically, people that add an item or two (for example to get free shipping) are the ones who get really really mad when these things fall through, since all that ships in those cases (at full price) is the extras that got added.

So I just put in some I actually wanted:

ST Generations
Columbo Season 1
Angel Season 4

So is the deal legit still? I placed an order this morning and nothing so far about the correct prices.

Took a chance on it....figured it couldn't hurt.

Ordered the Alias, Magnum: PI, and Clerks sets. Kicking myself, though, that I overlooked the Columbo set. I would have liked that more than the other three combined.

Guess we'll just wait and see.

I couldn't help but wonder about this deal and if it was going to work or not, so I called up to ask them if they would honor the prices. All they said to me was "thank you so much sir" and then hung up.

Thanks so much to the original poster. I ordered Clerks X this morning & received an e-mail confirmation shortly after. If Circuit City honors the orders, cool, if not no biggie. It's worth a shot.

but what wins? the 'policy' or the 'guarantee'? hmm...

When you pre-order a title you will receive our lowest price, whether that's the price when you placed the order or the price on the release date.

Congrats to those who got in. Good luck. Hopefully CC will honor the prices.

I'm not fortunately one of them - dang work thing - no "personal" surfing allowed.

I don't care if they cancel. As long as they don't pull a price switch on us.

My confirmation email has the prices, but the order status doesn't. Is that normal?

I have not received a cancellation email...yet. Still hoping. Also, now that Star Trek Generations is being delayed, I wonder how this will affect my (and others) orders.

Star trek Generations is being recalled, not delayed. I'm willing to bet that most online stores will fulfill their preorders and send the rest back to Paramount.

With B&M stores, you'll be able to find it at certain stores on Tuesday, but not much after that. (Until it is re-released at any case)

If they start sending out cancellation emails, when will they more than likely start doing so?
