Exorcist 3 pack $19.78!!!!!!!!

Take that Wal-Mart($21.99)....DeepDiscount has the 3 pack for only $19.78 which is quite a steal considering the retail prices for the first two films alone.

http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=WBD058889

The only downside to this pack is....

You only get the new re-edit of the original film....and depending on your reaction to part 2. You may be stuck with a very bad sequel

I already own the original SE release of the original. Found part 3 in the $5 bin earlier this year..and even swiped a rare VHS copy of the 100 minute reedit of part 2(which still did not save the film, lol).

So I am still debating whether to purchase this 3pack of not. On one hand,I will get to check out the additional scenes to the original. Meanwhile it is like paying full retail for the original and getting the sequels free. So not such a bad deal afterall.

I remember reading that Exorcist II was re-edited 5 times for theatrical release. 3 times in the US and 2 for Europe or something like that. This was during it's initial release. I saw it in England and didn't think it was that bad.

I have seen nothing but crap in the bin the past 6 months,so have stopped looking.

I still see the redit of the original for $14.44 though,so I doubt it would be in the $5 bin, unless they had copies of the very first release still floating around?

My local Walmart has the 3 pack for $16.44. I haven't watched 2 or 3, is it worth buying the 3 pack?

Well Four, for that price it is quite a steal!

My WM has it for $21,which is a rip in my opinion.

Anyway part 2 is a pretty terrible film, that you may not want in your collection. But give it a chance if you must, some actually like the film!

part 3 is a good film in my opinion and most seem to agree. But it is nothing like the original. So you won't find any gore or aton of profanity. It is more subdued but very creepy in my honest opinion. Some people love it,some hate it and find it very boring.

So it's all up to your own tolerence levels if you will enjoy either film or not. But for $16,crap,that is worth it(as long as you like the original at least)..since basically you are literally getting the sequels for free!

So if you hate them, you can always sell them.

Yep the bin only had the original first copy of teh exorcist. True it is very hard to find any good ones. you have to really dig down deep in the bin and hope to find good movies.

Looks to me like Warner Bros. is trying to unload their stock so that when Exorcist: the begininig comes to dvd they will sell a gift set with all 4 movies & more extras.
