Metallica: Live Sh*t-Binge & Purge Box $25 at Best Buy

Has there been a retail drop on this? The cheapest I can find it for online is ~45 from DDD.

This may give me an excuse to finally pick it up.

Even better, I just took the ad to Circuit City and they beat it by 10%. I got it for $22.49 plus tax!!

I can finally get rid of my video tape box set!

It's not in their weekly ad for me, but it's this price on the website.

I'll probably do an in-store pickup on this, since Best Buy went all gay on their shipping.

That sucks. I paid $99 when it was released in the early '90s although I have the VHS version. IMHO, the CDs are where it's at with this set. The vids are OK but I'm not one to sit around and repeatedly watch concert videos

You might have missed it. For some reason its not listed on the pages with the CDs and DVDs, but the page before with the video games.

It was never that much (unless that's Canadian $$).

I think it averaged around $75-80 back in the day. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks OP!

I bit the bullet and paid shipping. It would cost me more than I'd save to price match at Circuit City , or pick it up in-store. I'd rather pay the additional $3.75 and be done with it. Not a dime wasted on gas, nor a single nerve wrecked from dealing with some idiot customer service representative/store employee.

I remember seeing it around CC's and BB's for $99.99, up till the dvd set came out. Hell, back several years ago when i worked in a mall it was going for $149.99 (of course, that was The Wall, now FYE).

I just ordered this and with shipping/tax the price was 27.81. I think that is a pretty good deal. I paid $21.66 just for the Metallica Cunning Stunts DVD from DDD's 20% off sale.

I remember way back when getting the VHS set for $90-100. I just picked the DVD/CD set at BB and the price tag said $49.99. Not too bad. Plus my cds were all scratched up anyway and skipped, good thing I have an iPod and cd burner.

I paid $62 for my VHS set when it came out. A year ago I bought another VHS set from djangos for $8.99 sealed (listed wrong on site) and sold it to a coworker for $50 and bought a used but mint CD/DVD for $20. I sold the VHS tapes and old CDs in my other set for $30 and kept the big box/book cause I liked it.

So overall after all that work I have around $11 in my CD/DVD set.

Nope, I paid $79 for it on the day of release - bought two boxes to be exact.

I bought another one years later at the same price.
