LOTR-Fellowship of the Ring EE for $14.99

Amazon has LOTR-Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition for just $14.99! It might be an error because they state that the list price is also $14.99, but this is a great deal for anyone that has still not aquired this title.

Thanks for the heads-up! Been waiting for a good deal to get the LOTR movies. I added Airplane 2 to get the free shipping.

Excellent price. Bought it two years ago however. Thanks for the post anyway.

I've already got the standard 2-disc editions of the first two Lord of the Rings films. Are these worth picking up in my case?

I'd definitely recommend the EE editions, even over the theatrical editions.

Another vote for the EE's. Cool packaging, extended scenes, tons of extras and best of all, the DTS-ES rocks!

Wow, that's a great price for a movie I don't own. I know, go figure. I must be in the minority but I've never gotten into these movies despite everyone loving them. Thanks for the heads up!

awesome! i can now give away my regular version. i ordered with Harry Potter/Azkaban which ships in late-November, so I can get over $25... my shipping info says even my LOTR EE will also ship with the Harry Potter. Ohwell, no rush, and they won't charge till they ship.

Well, I had a gift certificate that had been burning a hole in my pocket, so I picked up the extended editions for the first two files. Is it worth holding on to the standard editions even after I get the new ones? Is there anything on the standard discs that I wouldn't get on the EEs? Can you still view the theatrical version of the films with the EEs?

the standard 2-disc editions are the only place to get the Theatrical versions. They also have different extras. Therefore, the true completionist (like myself) will have both the 2-disc and 4-disc editions.

ARRGH! I'm torn as to whether to buy this. I want to get all three EEs eventually, but I'm assuming that there will be a set of all three EEs eventually that will probably be cheaper than buying them individually. And it just so happens I already have a 2-disc FotR that I got for free. And if I buy this one, then I will negate any chance of saving buy buying all three together in a set. But this is a hell of a price...

highly unlikely that it'll be cheaper or that much cheaper. The boxset of the 2-disc theatrical versions had an MSRP of $89.95 which is the same as the 3 movies individually

also, STL please to David.Bao @ Gmail.com (no spaces)
