I'd say you probably have another two weeks to get in on the price. At least, that's what I've been telling customers.

I think it was because they had just introduced the promo price not too long after I ended my account. As long as it was your first month and you had paid the $25, they should reimburse you the $10

I've done the movie pass in four seperate occasions, and just signed up again using the $10 discount, no problems at all.

Not true. As per the BB email that I received today:
"BLOCKBUSTER Movie Pass™
Offer good 7/19-9/26, the two (2) out at a time BLOCKBUSTER Movie Pass™ is just $14.99 plus tax for the first month. Credit card or check card required."

Thank you for the information. I got my $10 GC refund today. My pass expired on July 15 and I have not renewed.

I didn't receive an e-mail about the $14.95 MoviePass -- is it only valid in certain areas? The site still lists it as $24.99. I signed up on July 1st and would love to see if I can get a $10 GC back.

I decided to get it for a month at that price. I've rented some movies I've missed or would have maybe skipped, along with some ones I wanted. Some examples are Thirteen, Ned Kelly, 8MM, Carrie SE, American Psycho, and Blazing Saddles.

My BBV offered me the $10 gift card refund or the opportunity to start a new account for $14.95. Request to talk to the manager if the cashier is clueless. The regular price for the pass is $24.95, but the first month is $14.95. They require your credit card for automatic renewal, so make sure you cancel at the end of the month. I believe once they have your account on record, you won't be able to start up a new account for the $14.95 promo. Each Blockbuster is independent of each other so you can take advantage of the promo price at other locations assuming the promo hasn't yet expired.

The bastards at my BB wouldn't give me a 10$ GC.

All the people who work at my local BB are jerks (Isn't that nice coming from the guy who used bastard?

I handed my membership card to the CSR, he scanned it, and I asked him to refund the difference since I had paid the $24.99 fees. The manager in the back overheard it, came over and gave the CSR two $5 GCs from the locked drawer.

Yes I cancelled it in the middle of the first month to stop the auto-renewal.

I tried to get the 2 GCs at my Blockbuster, but they said they aren't offering the introductory rate here in Hawaii.

This is a fantastic deal for my roommate, who ends up paying a late fee on just about every movie he rents.

He borrowed my card once (lost his I guess) and got School of Rock, two months later I get a notice in the mail, that I have an $18 late fee!!!!

Can I keep my CC on file and still pay my pass membership fees using a GC?

Discriminated against again! I can grudgingly understand why we don't always qualify for things like free shipping, but this is something that should apply to us.

Was there a link in that email? I dropped by the local BBV today and there was no introductory rate.

All the Blockbusters near me closed. I miss them. This was a good deal, too.

I'm kind of curious what the endgame here is with you resurrecting long dead posts to up your post count. I would think with your join date and post count numbers you'd already be able to spam a url, so maybe it's about something else?

Catch up from posts from 2004, though? That's going to take a while
