Out of Stock when you add to your cart:

" Wrong Men & Notorious Women - Five Hitchcock Thrillers 1935-1946 (DVD) Out of stock. Will not appear in order."

Too bad I delayed ordering (trying to excercise self-control) till today. Oh well.

X, you cool baby. Mine shipped today. You saved me $40 on this set I can now return to Best Buy. I will now spend that money on moonshine and penny candy.

Excellent. Mine has shipped. If I had waited like 2 hours later, it would have been out of stock.

Not any more. They've got a few used (for $150ish), but they're now unavailable. Thanks anyway.

It's ok, no need to thank me. That's what this place is for, isn't it?

It was just something I stumbled upon. I didn't even get one since I already had the individual titles.

But I'm glad it worked out for you all. Especially since I saw it at Best Buy today for $119.

$150 used? I bought it off eBay since I couldn't find it online with a Buy it Now of $100. Still not too bad for 5 discs...

I'd like to say "aw schucks!" to the fact that it is now out of stock, but I don't even have $90 to spend right now. Congratulations to those who grabbed this one! Enjoy!

The used place near me has one used for $50 and one brand new for $75. Which should I go for? The used one looks pretty good. The old man has some really good deals!

Whatever floats your boat. If you can inspect the condition of each disc prior to purchase, the used deal is pretty darn good.

If inspection is not possible, personally, I would lean toward the new one (still a hell of a deal).

Had too many bad experiences with pre-owned discs, so I am biased.

I got my set Friday. I noticed the UPCs have holes punched in them though. Is this standard on the discs in the box set so resellers don't split them up and sell individually?

Yes, that is exactly why they have holes. Selling them individually that way would prove more difficult...

Are all the DVDs in the Hitchcock Criterion set individually sealed? I saw a set at a store and in it one of the DVDs was not sealed. I wonder if the store 'repackaged' the set?
