I want to say the comics were included with Coco Puffs. It was one of the heavier chocolate cereals.

Cool. Thanks. I also searched to see which other boxes they came in but came up with nothing. However, I did find this page with scans of the interior art.

Re: Promotional Comics - cereal boxes, etc

It seems that the comic books for Batman v Superman are included in these General Mills Cereals:
Lucky Charms
Cheerios
Cocoa Puff
Trix

So far, I've only seen the Lucky Charms box promoting it. I imagine the boxes will start trickling down to the stores in the next several weeks

I got a #3 so far, should probably go ahead and open the other 5 to see what I got.

The Target where I bought six boxes of Trix currently has no remaining promo boxes, but I haven't checked any other stores.

Target and Walmart had none when I looked today, but Giant Food had Lucky Charms with them. I've opened all ten now. Five #2s, two #3s, three #4s.

No, I never buy or read first issues. I like to jump in when things get real.

Re: Promotional Comics - cereal boxes, etc

While it was tempting to buy these even though no one in my family even eats cereal, I left them at the store for others.

I wonder if young kids would even be excited to get a free comic these days?

My kids love free comic book day, but that's because it's the only time I let them get comics, because they destroy them. Modern comics are too expensive and too fragile to put in the hands of a 6 year old.

Bought four more boxes today (on sale, I had a coupon, and comics, how could I resist?!); four more #2s.

I'd laugh if it weren't so cruel.

(snicker snicker)

FYI - I sent you #1 earlier today. Sorry for the delay. I had to pick up a shipping envelope. I packed it up with some extra goodies. I hope you don't have everything already.

I've never seen a promo comic of this type (and they've been doing them for 40 years) released digitally, at least officially.

They're all out there to be pirated on the usual blogs or torrents. I think I've seen like a 5 issue digital prequel comic, a single Doritos comic, the four General Mills comics, and maybe one other food-based one in the usual spots? No idea if those are "legally" available digitally.

I've got you covered Andrew! Actually, might not have an extra #3 yet, but probably will soon.

Re: Promotional Comics - cereal boxes, etc

I've only gotten issue #1 in my boxes, but it's not a problem because they are written by Jeff Parker, who will be at my store on Free Comic Book Day.

Thanks! I'll take what I can get. You're more than welcome to my second #1 if you want to compete your two sets.

Re: Promotional Comics - cereal boxes, etc

My wife got two boxes of cereal yesterday (my family eats a lot of cereal) and I ended up with #2 & 3. The collection is complete!

Thanks for the offer, Trevor. You're still welcome to my extra #1 and #4 if you need them.

Now to finish off the Justice League books from a few years back.

I've been checking...nothing.

That's OK, though.

Re: Promotional Comics - cereal boxes, etc

They just started showing up around CA last week. Now they're everywhere out here. May need another #3. The edge of the book was kinda wacky.
