Maybe the DC BOGO sale will overlap with a weeklong sale Monday night for an hour or so...

Damn, I was hoping the Dark Horse sale was going to have more options. I see three collections I want, but no Usagi.

Do they announce the sale ahead of time though? Might be risky waiting until then and only having an hour to fill the cart 17 times.

Sale works on Vertigo books, but not on new titles (90 days) or on certain cross company crossovers or licensed books.

The Dark Horse sale sucked. Had lots of trades I wanted, none of which were part of the small sale. Picked up a ton of stuff on the DC sale though. Completed a whole lot of items on my wish list. Now if only Image would do a line wide sale life would be great.

Want to catch up on "We are Robin?" Here's a sale with all the versions of the character that are no longer valid. Thanks for buying!

If they were "valid" would the stories be any better or worse?

The stories are fine, just seems confusing to me. I guess I shouldn't complain that they have more things on sale...

It's really annoying how instead of there just being a good character Marvel and DC are shoehorning endless variants of that hero - Spider-verse, Wolverines, Robin Wars, Thors... sure it's cool if there is a occasional successive or different spin on a character but now every hero has their own entourage of clones, parallel dimension shadows, time displaced spiritual successors, kids following in their footsteps, etc, etc that it's become ridiculously tired.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Some or all of these may have been posted already, but just to play catch up here are the current sales.

Today only Marvel sale on Ant Man books, 36 $.99 singles.
https://www.comixology.com/Ant-Man-Wasp-Sale/page/9016

The weekly sale from DC is on Robin, 317 $.99 singles ends 12/07/15.
https://www.comixology.com/Robin-War-Sale/page/8923

Street Fighter sale from Udon until 12/07/15, 13 collections, 55 $.99 singles, and 3 freebies.
https://www.comixology.com/Street-Fi...Sale/page/9010

Star Trek collection sale from IDW until 12/07/15 is frustrating in the I should have waited way. 43 different collections at various prices, or all in a bundle for $99. Of course, I already own 19 of these collections, so I 'wasted' ~ $80. I'll still save $24 over buying the remaining ones individually, but I really wish Comixology would pro-rate bundles.
https://www.comixology.com/Star-Trek-Sale/page/8888

Tank Girl sale from Titan, 13 $.99 singles.
https://www.comixology.com/Tank-Girl-Sale/list/9091

Black Friday sale from Kodansha, 3 $.99 singles.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Well, this is new.

I stopped by Comixology today and was greeted by this new logo. Also, I was logged out. So I hit the log in button and it gave me the option to log in with my Comixology account or Amazon account. Accompanying that was this little bit of info:

"Sign in to comiXology with your Amazon account
Read many of your Kindle comics on comiXology"

So it looks like they're finally merging our kindle comic libraries with Comixology...

P.S. That Ant-Man sale is lame. Almost all of those issues have been on sale in the last 6 months.

That's awesome. I'm not a big fan of the comic reading experience in the Kindle app.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Well, I did the account merge. Pretty simple and plainless.

Log in under your Amazon account first. There should be an alert on the main page saying you can merge accounts if you have a Comixology account also (If it's not there, the option is also on the "My Account" page.)

Once you click on that, it will ask you to log in with your Comixology account. Then it will ask you to log in with your Amazon account again to verify. Once you do that and then click the Merge button, your comixology log in will be overwritten by your amazon one (You log in with your Amazon username/email and password going forward) and the books will be added to your library.
Also, it will create a new smart list for you named "From Kindle"

I've been pretty stubborn about having all my stuff in one spot, so after all that, I got one book.

Sweet! Although I imagine I only have a bunch of freebies and maybe a couple misprice purchases in my Kindle Comic history.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I merged and lost 23 books! What the heck?

I did gain 5 from Amazon, so I guess that means I lost 28 actually, and one of them was the mispriced Watchmen trade at least.

Edit to add: Ok, the lost books are back after a second log out and re-log in.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Ok, found a very nice benefit to the Comixology/Amazon merge. I did a test and bought a $.99 sale book on Amazon, the Attack on Titan #1. Not only did it instantly appear in my Comixology library, but it took the payment out of all those no-rush shipping credits I'm constantly accumulating.

More Morrison Batman I discovered while browsing on Amazon. This one clocks in at 384 pages for $5.20:

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

If you search all graphic novels under comics in the kindle store you'll find dozens of good deals, maybe hundreds. I stopped looking after awhile and am sitting in the corner crying now.

Yeah, I bought a number of cheap Star Wars collections on Amazon a while back. This gives me a better chance of reading them.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

But amazon doesn't prevent you from buying the same collection again, if you bought it previously on comixology, does it? Because I had to go dig it up in comixology to figure out I already owned those Morrison Batman collections...
