Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The weekly Marvel True Believers sale additions bring it up to ten books.
https://www.comixology.com/Marvel-Tr...Sale/list/6134

The Avengers Collections sale is expanded into an Age of Ultron sale ending 5/3/15. It combines 24 singles with those ten collections. The only new to saledom (that's a word, right?) books are What If Age of Ultron 1-5.
https://www.comixology.com/Avengers-...Sale/page/6450

The normal sale page has some new foreign sales, including a new freebie.
https://www.comixology.com/comics-sale

I thought I was good at finding all the random freebies, but it appears that this preview somehow slipped my ~weekly searches for two years.

If you've never read any of that trade, then you absolutely need to pick it up at that price. It might seem like a mishmash of stuff, but it's actually a pretty cohesive collection of Jim Starlin's Captain Marvel/Warlock/Thanos saga. There are some frustrating omissions (see my review in the "last tpb you read" thread for more specifics), but you get most of the story.

As a tangent, Marvel just released a solicitation for a Guardians of the Galaxy Solo Classic omnibus. It's yet another collection of most of this material. It adds some key issues that haven't been previously collected, but it leaves some other stuff from Avengers vs. Thanos out. So frustrating. Doubly so because this time it's oversized and could have been perfect. Someday there will be a comprehensive collection of the 70's cosmic material.

As rocket said, it's a really good collection but I needed to pair it with the Starlin Warlock TPB to fill in some of the holes.

Cool, thanks. Yeah, I got confused when search results showed a $0-7.99 price, but those were for the rental and SD.

For what it's worth, it seems like some of the titles that were only available in black and white are now in color. Specifically Infinity Inc 1-10 and at least the first sale Adventure Comic.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

I got an email for a refer a friend, get a $5 e gift card from Comixology. The friend also gets a $5 credit. It seems to work for more than one referral. I think I'll try posting it on Facebook and see if it gets me anything.

Good idea. But if we really liked our friends we'd tell them about the first time only FB 50% off code.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

So, generally, how long does it take for the Free Comic Book Day books to show up in digital stores?

I was thinking about picking them up at my LCS, but I just can't deal with the clutter of physical comics anymore.

Comixology will only get 10-20 of the 51, and they should trickle in over the next couple few weeks.

Dark Horse should get both (?) of their's soon.

Dark Horse put up their FCBD comics today. I grabbed Fight Club, which is the one I wanted the most out of all the free comics anyway.

It's cool how for $30+ sales Groupees includes their original Dynamite bundle content; especially since part 2 seems to continue so much from where the first left off.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

The new Marvel sale is a Thanos sale. It ends at 11 EST.
I think this is the same sale they had around when Guardians of the Galaxy was playing theatrically...because I remember there being a sale like this then, and I already own all these.

All issues are 99 cents each.

Infinity Gauntlet #1-6
Infinity War #1-6
Infinity Crusade #1-6
The Thanos Imperative #1-6
The Thanos Imperative: Devastation (one-shot)
The Thanos Quest #1-2
Thanos: The Final Threat #1
Silver Surfer #34-38, 65-66
Doctor Strange #36
Warlock & The Infinity Watch #1-6, 18-22
The Warlock Chronicles #1-5
