Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Today's Marvel Monday is the complete (?) Age of Apocalypse storyline. 51 single issues in a plethora of different series, mini-series, and one shots. Available bundled for a slight savings at $49.99.

I'm only tempted because I already own 17 of the books from the free #1s thing. Is this story worth $34?

Awesome, thanks. I wish there would be a sale on the rest of that storyline.

I just looked at that era's physical books and they are pretty pricey.

It has been since it came out that I have read it, but I remember really liking it. Since those issues are long since gone from my possession, I am going to pick the bundle up.

Those Detective books are Scott Snyder's first work on Batman, and Snyder is a really hot writer right now, so that's why those issues are expensive.

Just buy the Batman The Black Mirror trade. You can get it for less than $10.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Today's Summer Reading freebie isn't up yet, but I did find a new FCBD book was added, FUBAR: Aces of Spades.

Today starts a week long Transmetropolitan sale from Vertigo/DC: issues 1-60 and two one-shots for $.99 each, no bundle option.

Today's freebie just went live and it looks potentially great, Magnus: Robot Fighter #1 (digital exclusive edition).

I missed yesterday's deal but got this one. I think I may have Magnus in print, though.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Two more FCBD books appeared yesterday, and two more today, so search for FCBD if you want to pick up some more freebies.

A new sale, Turboten Vol. 1: Génésis for $.98 and French readers only.

The Age of Apocalypse sale is still ongoing, so I guess it wasn't Marvel Monday, that usual banner never actually appeared iirc.

Today's summer reading freebie should show up on their site around noon eastern. This is your final warning to get Magnus: Robot Fighter #1 for free as yesterday's selection.

Re: Digital Comic Book Discussion and Deals (Comixology, etc)

Today's summer reading list free comic is up, it's My Little Pony: Pony Tales Volume 1.

I usually grab pretty much everything that's free, but I'm gonna pass on this one.

It's a good value for anyone who is a fan though, regular price appears to be $9.99

I think about passing on these kiddie freebies, but then I remember that I may someday be in child raising or babysitting situations and some kiddie books in my cloud may come in handy.

Yeah, I added it as well. My two-year-old enjoys playing with some of the MLP figures she's gotten free at McDonalds. I'll keep it in the cloud in case she wants to read it some day.

Kind of odd, this is the first Monday in a while without some kind of marvel sale, unless I missed it.
