Witchblade, worth starting from the beginning?
I am thinking about starting Witchblade from the beginning, any thoughts on this? Is it worth the time and money to start this series? I think it sounds very interesting and have read other Top Cow comics but I never did start this one. What do you guys and gals think?

Re: Witchblade, worth starting from the beginning?
If you can, get one of those Omnibus-types collections from Top Cow. I got the first printing which was $50 for 50 issues worth (over 1000 pages). IIRC, it quickly sold out then they planned to release a hardcover one. Then they planned to release a second printing of the Witchblade/Darkness/Tomb Raider omnibus book (note that Top Cow does not actually call them Omnibus). Not sure if they did ever release them though.

The first storyline was good (the first 12 or so issues with Michael Turner on art) and worth reading/buying, but IMO, it sorta fell apart after that.

Yeah the first issues are good, but if you could also start with the Ron Marz run instead.

Re: Witchblade, worth starting from the beginning?
Is Witchblade the series that created First Magdalena? I have read several of those trades and enjoyed that storyline. I wasn't sure if it was worth digging into the series where FM was originally created. I also wasn't sure if she spun off of Witchblade or Darkness.
