Post pics of your Comics and Collectibles

Like the Home theater, and Movie Figures and Collectibles thread, lets post comic stuff!

Comics, toys, statues, or whatever you own, that you want to show off, or new stuff coming out in the future.

To get things rolling, here is my stuff:

DC Direct Collection featuring:

The Justice League of America - Satellite Era
The New Teen Titans
Modern Teen Titans
The Society
The Sinestro Corps

My Golden Age & Silver Age keys -with posters- that are the other wall:

Women of DCU statues

Sweet!

I hope to someday have a room in my house devoted to comics, and have a similar display, but right now all my hobbies are stacked in bins.

That is awesome! I would be concerned about having the comics out like that because of possible fading from light (sunlight and artificial) over time. Hopefully no sunlight hits that room at all.

You know that was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pictures, I don't think comic mylar bags protect comics from the light, I would hate to see some of those books lose their color....Nice set up!

I'd post picutres of my collection, but just imagine a closet with about 20 longboxes in it, and you'll get an idea...

Yeah they don't get much light on them at all. I had the blinds open for better picture taking. And I'm not really looking to resell them one day, so its all good.

I know what you mean about long boxes. If I had to take another pic, it would be of damn long boxes in the corner

LOL...Here's mine:

This is after getting new carpet (from a flood inside the house a few months ago), and then re-arranging some stuff around, and making sure my comic long boxes are off the floor a little bit.

Some stuff on one of my walls, I'll need to snap a shot of the other walls (nothing too fancy or "cool")

Some hardcover books:

This is mainly stack of my current issues that aren't filed away in long boxes yet.

Crazyrabbits, your post makes it appear you only have six comic books. What is the significance of the books you posted? Obviously, a few of them are autographed.

No, those are a few I scanned into my computer for my Facebook profile. I've got about 600 comics stored in a couple long cases. I'd rather show you examples of what I have rather than a picture of a couple boxes.

And this IS a post to show your "comic colelctibles", am I right? These books are what I consider to be the most valuable in my collection.

Here are a few more shots of the bookcases with books and figures on them:

And a shot showing the Rogue and Cavewoman that Budd Root did for me a decade ago for very little money (like $10 each, also have a water color Wonder Woman for $15 by Budd as well), and the other pieces of artwork and posters I liked when I put them up.

I figured something like that but that All Star Superman #1 threw me off. It isn't more than cover price yet is it?

I have some other cool Wildstorm-related posters, but I just don't have the space to put it up, plus I've lost touch with the lady who would foamboard my posters and artwork.

That was a X-O lithograph of the cover to X-O #0 that I got in the early 1990's, probably 1993. It was signed and numbered (about 400 of them, I'll have to check) by Quesada and Palmiotti.

I say this with a lot of love... that's just ridiculous. Where did you get those sweet shelves for your statues?

The trade shelves is something I hope to have one day, or something you would see in B&N.

The glass shelves are sweet also. Theres so much out there, I have to limit myself to specific stuff, rather than buying random toys. Thats why I decided to focus on a large DC Direct JLA. I pick my favorite sculpt of a character, rather than getting them all. Just replaced some with the IC wave 2.

And cant forget my Women of DCU, in which DC is releasing another wave next year.

I don't if I should or

ytrez, love the statue setup. Though maybe even dorkier, statues look so much better than action figures for display purposes. I'm cheap and poor, so figures it is, but I'm envious.

madcougar, I got the shelves at Ikea.

Thanks for the nice comments, all.

boredsilly, I prefer "geekier" to "dorkier" but I hear what you're saying. Worry not though, I've got a bunch of boxes filled with toys in my garage that I couldn't even get to for picture taking purposes. I haven't bought action figures, except for my sons, for years now, but I've got a ton of Toy Biz X-Men, Iron Man, Spider-man, Fantastic Four, etc. Also tons of Spawn figures from the first several runs. I'm thinking about showing my 13 y/o how to list things on ebay and getting rid of all of the toys.
