Serenity TPB from Dark Horse Comics

http://www.talesofwonder.com/details...ge=1&starting=

I don't see anything listed here, but does anyone have any idea if there will be any additional material of any sort in the trade than there was in the three issues (outside of the obvious new cover)? It wasn't a great story, but it passed time until the movie when it came out...

Also, anyone know of a better price than above (I checked Amazon, they're at about the $10 mark)? Thanks!

I tried ordering this from Amazon and it's listed as "not out yet" and delayed my order by a month (I took it off the order because I didn't want to wait a month for the other stuff). Kinda odd.

Why is it odd? It's not out until Jan 25th.

The actual comics came out last year sometime. It's OK, nowhere near as good as the series or movie. I haven't heard anything about new material other than maybe some sketches or somesuch. I think I'll just stick to the original comics myself...

Well, looking at buy.com, I've had my question answered as to if there was anything else:

[deleted because it was incorrect info ]

Sounds like I'll be picking it up! (not sure where yet though!)

Those aren't the comic specs, that is for the movie companion book that has nothing to do with the comic series.

Really. Well, that's why it seemed so similar. Was I on the wrong page on buy.com....? ::goes off to check::

Yeah... had I read closer in the "description" area, it's talking about the Visual Companion, even though it's under the TPB's section.

Dark Horse solicited it with their comics due out in December, but Dark Horse always advance-solicits their trade paperbacks and graphic novels. So even though it was solicited with the December shipping titles, it was always scheduled to be out in January.

Okay, I saw this in my comic store yesterday. Nothing new at all (minus the cover), and I never really paid attention to the measurements online, but it's much smaller than an average comic book which seems very odd. Sadly, for $10, I'm skipping it.

My copy arrived with the weekly shipment yesterday. I agree, much smaller than I was expecting. Oh well, it was cheap enough.

The good thing is, if someone hadn't been able to get the old issues, this is a great way to get them plus all the covers and save like $17!

Ugh, I hate those sizes of trades. Stupid crap. I'll just keep my single issues even though I much rather have a regular size trade or HC.

Hell, teen titans trades pack in a shit load of punch for the same 9.99 price tag.

So what's the best price that has been found for this?
