Any thoughts on Daniel Mason's 'The Piano Tuner'?

My wife runs a Book Club for the library where she works, and the last novel her group discussed was Daniel Mason's The Piano Tuner. The Book Club discussion has come and gone, but I was surprised that no one here has mentioned this 2003 novel and was wondering if anyone here has read it. If so, what are your thoughts?
