First one was ok, second one droned on way too much. It was originally supposed to be two in the series, and I think turning it to three made this second one have way too much padding. I'll still read the third one when it comes out, but I hope it has better pacing.

Now I'm reading

Did... did I just actually see the phrase "boat-bum Quixote"?

Re: What Are You Reading? (December 2014)

I've still not quite finished a couple of books I've had going for a while but felt obliged to start a third today - because neither of the others (China Mieville's "Kraken" & Jo Walton's "Among Others") would have lasted the duration of my commute!

So... I'm now reading John D. MacDonald's "Nightmare in Pink".

Thanks That sucks since that's the kind of material I love.

I'm about 450 pages into The Count of Monte Cristo. More than 600 pages to go. So far, I'm loving it.

Still so, so good. Doyle couldn't have imagined the longevity it'd have.

Big SH fan. After this, you might want to try "The Annotated Sherlock Holmes" by William S Baring-Gould.
