Re: What Are You Reading? (October 2014)
I like to read horror books this time of year. My Kindle's busted, so I'm limited to what the library has on hand. Starting this tonight:
The library only carries the large print edition. I'm going to feel like a speed reader.
Also planning on reading some of these short stories:
Finished:
I consider the movie to be the scariest one I've ever seen - it affected me greatly - so naturally I was morbidly curious about the book. It did not disappoint. Normally I read before bed, but limited this one to daylight hours. I'm a wuss. (I did not read the 40th anniversary edition that is pictured.)
Put me in the camp that liked the book overall, hated the ending. Looking forward to seeing the movie at some point.
The good part of my Kindle being broken is that it's forcing me to tackle my large stack of Hard Case Crime paperbacks. This one was more lighthearted than HCC's usual gritty fare.

Re: What Are You Reading? (October 2014)
Just finished this
I only got it because it was free, and I don't usually like fantasy much, but it was really good.
Next up
because I wanted to switch things up (and also read a shorter book)
But then I'll be reading this

Took a break from reading this since my check-out period from my library ended and there is a waiting list to re-check it out.
