It's an interesting idea. But I'm not impressed by the selection. I don't see any new releases. And a lot of the titles have been on sale for $1-$2 at Amazon.

Speaking of Prime... you guys know about that "Kindle First" thing right?

I didn't even know about it when I signed up. Nice perk.

I signed up for the free trial to check it out and it is AWESOME. I have an iPad 2 which is waaay too heavy to read books and with a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and a Kindle PaperWhite 2 no immediate plans to buy any more devices. They have on their website that they have no plans to bring to Android. But I found MANY books I wanted to read and if I had an iPad Mini or Air I would bite for sure.

Instead of a Netflix for books, I'd like to see a Pandora for books. I don't think I'd mind having to watch ads in between chapters.

I've been following their Facebook. They have had for a little bit now a job opening for an Android developer on their site and they keep saying they will come out on Android, so they realized their mistake and now are playing catch it, they will release it as soon as they get it up and running, just not sure when. I'll sign up when they do.

Re: Oyster: Netflix For Books
I like the idea, but I don't have time to read enough books in a month to justify the monthly fee. If I bought one book in January and didn't buy another book until I finished the first one, and not buy another book until I finished the second one, and so on, I would spend less money in total and own the books I had read.
