After watching that damn Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer a million times I went ahead ans scooped up the novel. Gonna demolish it before I move on to the next batch of reads.

Now reading ...

... Harry Connolly's "Circle of Enemies".

More depth than the first two in the series and reads as if he had interesting things planned before the publishers pulled the rug out from him due to disappointing sales.

Although Connolly has a prequel out as an e-book, I'm not sure that I'd want to follow a series in any other way than the "old-fashioned" paper format.

Re: What are you reading? (February 2012)

I'm hearing good things about Paulo Coehlo's latest book "Aleph." It's supposedly got similar themes to The Alchemist. We'll see.

^ How was it? I've heard it's good (but not as good) as Beat the Reaper.

It is quite different than Beat The Reaper. If anything, I might have liked Wild Thing more. Both are definitely worth reading.

Finished:

Enjoyed it, very well written - but the constant almost-meetings of the two main characters was annoying.

Into Thin Air by John Krakauer

Read his book Into the Wild a couple years ago and enjoyed it.

Re: What are you reading? (February 2012)

We watched Murder My Sweet. Then I bought the 4-in-1 Raymond Chandler Omnibus.

Finished Farewell, My Lovely.

Started The Big Sleep.

We watched Bride and Prejudice. So I started reading Pride and Prejudice online yesterday.

Movies: a great source for choosing books.

Re: What are you reading? (February 2012)

I just started Neal Stephenson's Quicksilver. I plan to do the whole monstrous Baroque Trilogy back to back (to back?)...should be a fun run.
