I'm not sure what you mean, but I was trying to be playful about the effects reading WLC might have on a sane person. Any incoherence on my part was unintentional, and yes, may have been caused by inhabiting the same universe with someone as twisted as WLC.

Re: The islamic anti-christ
Much better.
If Romans destroyed the temple simply because God willed it, how is that free will? If God is perfect, why did he create Man so childish and flawed?
I don't know what the answers are. But those sort of questions are a lot more powerful than simply calling someone else's god a "loser." It might even get them to think about what they've been taught.

Hate to break it to you, but your favorite fictional character is portrayed as a socialist.
I'm not into Radiohead, but if the choice is listening to them in a bath tub, or hanging out with people like you in heaven, I'll take Radiohead. You've made it clear that you haven't even read your supposed holy book in its entirety, and the parts you did struggle through didn't sink in. I'm extremely grateful that you aren't in charge of who goes where in this world.

Remember that part in the Bible where Jesus threw the money changers out of the church? You really think he'd be a fan of modern Wall Street?

Remember the story of the servants given charge of the master's money? The the good servants invested the master's money at a good return, but bad servant buried his master's money in a hole in the ground. Jesus approves of Wall Street.
Matthew 25:29 For to everyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
The devil can cite scripture.

Do you mean to suggest that people can take lines from any old incoherent text, and claim that the whole supports their message? Revolutionary!

Now we just need to build a massive gate and call it "the eye of a needle" and bung a few camels through it, then all us rich fellas will be getting into heaven - bro hugs!

Hey, I love that line. "Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." That line has kept the poor in their place for thousands of years!

What the fuck are you even talking about? What about protesting immense greed is anti-Jesus? As an atheist, I'd be thrilled if the protests left out religion altogether, but that clearly isn't happening.

Re: The islamic anti-christ
The part about Jesus being a socialist is wrong.
He wanted people in the world not to put their heart with riches of this world and instead the riches of Heaven. Remember the verse "What profited a man if he gain the whole world but lose his soul."
I don't get mad at responses cause I see what's going on in the world now and what's coming.
This book I recommend for liberals cause it's from the religion that hates America.

And I seem to recall you promised this would be a party thread.

Re: The islamic anti-christ
Example: Poor ghetto people become rich through sports. One decides to party, sex and drugs and is broke. Another decides to marry and stay with one woman and have a family. Did both "F"up in life according to Jesus? Both became rich.

You said the book was from "the religion that hates America". The book is from a right-wing Christian author and a right-wing Christian publisher, and it is an attempt to reconcile current events with a particular reading of the Christian bible. Therefore, the religion the book is "from" is Christianity. Considering that far more acts of terrorism in the name of faith in the United States have been committed by self-avowed Christians than Muslims, I thought you actually had a legitimate point for once.
Just ask these fine Christians here:
I mean, if we are going to tar every Muslim with the same brush, shouldn't we be doing the same with Christians?

Prayer in school is allowed...if it's a private school. They're not allowed in public schools for the very good reason that we have a separation of Church and state. As a tax payer, would you want your money going to a public school that required Islamic prayer five times a day?

Re: The islamic anti-christ
The only thing public schools are forbidden to do is set time aside in which are students are expected to

Re: The islamic anti-christ
You guys are right. I am talking about public schools requiring prayer or a moment of silence for prayer. This is also what the "put prayer back in schools" people are talking about, and what I was specifically addressing.
