I remember getting JW's "A Dangerous Energy" years ago as a freebie at a science fiction convention. I should read that one again as I recall it being an imaginative alternate history. Seems like he has changed his focus a little since back then.

For the most part the above titles seem to have a reasonable number of 4/5 star reviews as compared to 1/2 stars. I've not checked whether they're free in the US or, indeed, if they've been posted before although I didn't seem to have them in my "Kindle Cloud library" which suggests that they haven't.
