Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

Got a copy from the library last night (it pays to get on the "wait" list early)!

About 120 pages in so far, and it's a page-turner. Seems like vintage King with the way the narrative flows, and unlike some of his books it doesn't take 300 pages to get to the meat of the plot.

The titular setup happens from the first page...

Does anyone know where I can order the LE from? Its doesn't have to be the signed one just the regular LE.

You could only order the limited directly from Scribner.

No, just shrinkwrapped. I don't believe the S/L is any different from the Collector's Edition that you can get from Amazon Here for $40 (except for the sig).

It's very nice to see the full cover artwork without any writing on it. Not even the title or King's name.

OK so by limited, you mean the signed version. Gotcha. What was the final talley for those, 1500 of them?

FYI: It's $9 at Amazon and WalMart.com right now. Not sure if it's that price in store, but bet it is.

The price tag at a local Wal Mart this morning said $23 and some change. I didn't pick it up, so I have no idea if it scans with a lower price.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

The $9 was a pre-order price. Not surprised it went back up after release.

My library had about 5 copies in today. But they were only 7 day loans... no way I'd even get 1/4 into the book in 7 days. Plus I have a few books I need to finish before I tackle this massive thing.... one of which is another SK massive thing, The Stand.
