Lee Child (Reacher Series)
I can't believe I opened a thread in BookTalk
Just saw the movie last week and really enjoyed it. I'm no regular reader. In fact I hardly read. I lose focus quick if something doesn't grab me or just too much technical information is being thrown at me.
Is this series a fun easy read that will make me wanna keep turning pages?
Just for some insight I read Mutation by Robin Cook and few years back and really liked that. I know it's a medical thriller but this is just a different type of thriller.
I like fun easy reads. Is this for me?

Re: Lee Child (Reacher Series)
The Reacher books definitely have a fan base (I'm one of them). However, I do recognize they are definitely genre books (quite disposable), yet Lee Child has derived a formula that works. I've read 8 of them and couldn't really tell you one book from another, but I know I had a good time reading them.
Give the first one a try (Killing Floor). If you like that, the rest are pretty similar. There are also a couple existing threads on the Reacher books here and here.

There are definitely a few of us that are frequent visitors to the Book Forum (I try to peek in at least daily). The forum activity does have notable increases a couple times a year (it typically coincides whenever Stephen King writes a new novel ).

I am reading the series now, I'm on number 11, I think... I like reading them and like stated before they are an easy read. I started reading them because I was reading Vince Flynn and he said he liked the series.
