I also liked Bag of Bones quite a bit. Desperation and The Regulators I can't remember but I don't think I liked either much.

I look forward to reading this, even the Stephen King books I haven't liked as well I still enjoyed reading (I just don't want to read those ones again).

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

I kind of hope he does another book with Peter. Probably wont happen since those books were kind of major branches in dark tower series.

I have a feeling that Eyes of the Dragon, should there ever be a sequel, would branch into the dark tower series, too.

I would buy that in a heartbeat. I loved Eyes of the Dragon and the Dark Tower series.

I have to go back and start reading some of his later works as I think I stopped reading King with the end of the Gunslinger saga.

Roland did mention running across the 2 characters from EotD that were looking for Flagg. I really hoped for them to show up again somewhere in the last 3 Dark Tower books.
I hope that if a sequel to Black House is made, that it focuses on the Territories without delving too deep into Dark Tower mythology. Dark Tower is kinda played out for me now that the main series is over.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

Nice. I'd rather get it as a kindle book (those Stephen King books are heavy) but since they don't have that up so far for that price I had to order it--I can always cancel.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

Interesting... a lot of hardcover November releases are ten dollars too. I hope it's not some glitch!

I canceled my original pre-order and re-ordered it just in case they didn't apply the new price to my order.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

It's $9 on Amazon now and Wal-Mart.com. They are having a pricing war over some big November books. I went with Wal-Mart because they have free shipping on one item.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

Nice -- preorder placed this morning. I struggled with the decision since I try to support local independent book stores w/ my purchases but this price was too good to pass up.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

A variety of Talisman 3 news items...

http://www.liljas-library.com/section.php?id=33
Here's the latest from May 6th.

Quote:
Cemetery Dance: Are you going to do a third book with Stephen King?

Peter Straub: We plan to. We were going to start right about now, but King got sidetracked by a Broadway musical that he was writing with John Mellencamp. So that's been taking shape. And I think they were having out-of-town tryouts this autumn. Then we'll see what happens. But at some point we'll get back to it, because we have to. It's like two-thirds of a long, long story, and the other part really should be done.

Wait, wait wait -- King's writing a musical with Johnny Cougar?

That sounds like a Family Guy gag.

Re: Stephen King: Under The Dome

Just received a finished copy of this book today. Holy smokes! The book is HUGE. 1074 pages and heavy. I can see that reading this might present something of a challenge for people, just based on his sheer size.
