Re: I would like to read some Zombie/Living Dead Horror Books.
DeepDiscount has the Walking Dead series BOGO Free. I picked up two copies of the Compendium (one for me, one as a gift) for $48 shipped.

Re: I would like to read some Zombie/Living Dead Horror Books.
I just finished Death Troopers the other night & really enjoyed it. It's the first ever horror story taking place in the Star Wars Universe. Yes, there is gore, it's violent, & it has tons of zombies. So if you like zombies & Star Wars you can't go wrong. I was actually a little bored with it for the first 90 pages, but then something happens around page 100 that gives you a geeky smile, then the action starts & it's a fun ride from there.

Ha - as much as I loathe Star Wars tripe, I might just try that.

Re: I would like to read some Zombie/Living Dead Horror Books.
I thought it was ok, it was an amusing idea idea, but for me it did drag on a bit, and I don't really need to read any more books like this (so Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters will most likely get a pass from me).

Re: I would like to read some Zombie/Living Dead Horror Books.
I looked back over the thread, and I can't believe I forgot to mention Patient Zero by Jonathan Maberry. I thought it was a very good book, combining spy/action stuff with zombie stuff. It's probably my favorite zombie book since World War Z. I think there's a sequel coming out soon as well.

Currently reading Patient Zero. Fast-paced thriller. Loving it so far.

It's the actual text from the historical zombie attacks in the back of the book, split into word balloon captions, then added to illustrations. It's nice, but maybe $7 or $8 nice.

That sounds fascinating. The 1800's setting is very cool.
