Target 7/23 through 7/29 - 20% off movies w/ Cartwheel
Just like last year, Target is doing another 20% off movies using Cartwheel starting next Sunday. Hopefully they do something online like last time as well.

Any additional info on this? Links? I get Target emails but haven't seen anything about this. A quick Google search doesn't turn anything up...
Thanks!

I really took advantage of the B2G1 sale they had a few months ago. Hopefully, they will do that again!

If I buy anything this week, I can probably get a Price Adjustment once the sale starts right?

You would probably have to return and re buy. Cartwheel is different than a regular sale item since the price doesn't change in the system. It's deducted at the end of the sale once the app is scanned.
I could be completely wrong though

What is Cartwheel? How do I get this discount?

So it'll be 20% everything DVD/BD related?
Do they raise prices on anything heading in or are the current prices about what I can expect?

They don't raise prices per se but 20% off Target's normal pricing isn't always a deal. It mostly works out as a deal for their lower price tiers and if there is a new release that week on a separate sale.

I'll have to stop by during the same and see if there's anything I've been meaning to get.
A little bummed that Free Fire isn't being carried at Target B&M stores, so I picked that up at Walmart today.

Coupon's up on cartwheel. Looks like Boss Baby and Ghost In The Shell are the new releases for this week(they'll probably be cheaper there next week).
Anyone find a way to get a/the discount online yet?

I really wanted to take advantage of this coupon, but Target stores make it hard to. Tons of copies of Skull Island, but none in 3D. In fact, I didn't see one 3D copy of anything while I was there. Complete series of Prison Break? Nope. Not sold in stores. I've got a short list of back catalog titles I've been wanting to upgrade to Blu. Nada. All of them not sold in stores. It was a miracle that I actually stumbled onto a copy of Daredevil season 1. I had been holding out on picking it up because it's always so expensive. I believe the cheapest it's ever been is $26.99. That's what Target.com had it listed as. I figured 20% off is a decent enough deal. It rang up $29.99. Target won't pricematch and allow cartwheel coupon. (When did this change?) I still bought it. $23.99 is the best I've seen. I was really hoping to get it for $20 or under. Of course, I'l keep it sealed and put away for a few weeks. I just know it'll go on sale for $14.99 now that I've bought it.
Sorry for the negativity.

In Cartwheel it says this coupon is for in-store use only. Not a single one of the titles I want is available in store.

I don't know of any b&m's that are even remotely close to full catalog film or music instore in 2017.

Stupid question...is it possible to do a perk ($10 off a movie) and 20% at the same time? If so, I might be able to get a 4k for pretty darn cheap.

It's a program on the Target site for extre instore discounts. You can sign up for it then add various deals to your Account/Folder. There are several hundred offers every week and you can choose a dozen or more to use.
At checkout at a Target store you can have teh clerks scan a barcode from your phone or you can print it and have them scan.
Usually there is some sort of limit -- 4 or 6 items/offers/per transaction and max number of uses per day.
Cartwheel are separate than MQ and Target Coupon so in theory you could have 4 discounts on a single item if you also have a Redcard with it;s 5% discount. You're not supposed to be allowed to Price Match and Cartwheel by the rules, but some will do it and the scan
allows the discount.

Yes, you can. I've done it before and worked like a charm.

Yeah, it's a Target Coupon from the Cartwheel app. Hrmm, wish Target's 4k in-store selection was anything more than new releases and a handful of popular favorites.

I never heard of a Cartwheel Perk and didn't know it was ending. Apparently it was a test program that was only in 5 markets nationwide, and I'm not in one of them.

Re: Target 7/23 through 7/29 - 20% off movies w/ Cartwheel
I was able to pricematch LEGO Batman yesterday w/ the 20% off. Mainly because I was buying other stuff as well, so she didn't really seem to care. Was going to wait for a decent price for the 3D version, but I can live with $8 for the regular blu ray. I also didn't realize that they drop the DVD copy in the 3D version, which sucks because our kids still use those.
I'm also bummed about the perks ending. I still have around 10K points, which is good enough for two offers for the $10 off. Their wording is a little muddy though. It says "August 27th will be the last day to collect points towards perks." So does that also mean that's the last day you can use perks? I want to make sure mine don't go to waste. Batman and Harley Quinn comes out on August 29th, so I was going to save a perk for that movie.

Found a copy of Fifth Element in 4k..only copy I saw (but I only spent 5 minutes looking which is nothing for me).
$19.99 (says $29.99 on site but it scanned at $20)
-20% off Cartwheel
-$10 Perk
-5% RedCard
---------------------
$5.69 + tax = Very Happy

Re: Target 7/23 through 7/29 - 20% off movies w/ Cartwheel
Went to Target on Monday to see what I could find with this 20% off deal going. What I found was the video(s) I might have wanted were higher there than at other retailers (Walmart/Best Buy), and that 20% off didn't make enough of a dent in the price to matter. They wouldn't price match, then take the 20% off. Example: American Horror Story S1 is $9.99 at Walmart, $12.99 at Target (or $14.99, I can't remember which, but for the sake of this example we'll call it $12.99). 20% off would've made it $10.39 which is still higher than Walmart, but they wouldn't price match first. Their video selection (at my Target anyway) has been cut down to 2 aisles from 3, so their available titles are fewer. There was nothing at the store that I really wanted (besides AHS), I already had the titles I might have wanted from their in-store selection. This sale was a bust for me. Apparently, Target isn't interested in competing with any other retailers which is really stupid.
