Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

20% Off Single Item Online
D4M8K3B
-- Unknown Expiration. Could be 11/24 or it could be Dec 31 exp

Store Only Coupon
25% Off One Item
coupon is valid at Barnes & Noble stores from November 24, 2017 to November 26, 2017 at close of business.

ONLINE ONLY
GIVETHANKS
valid 11/23 through 11/26 -- I'm guessing ending 11:59pm PT though it's possible they'll stop it ET and start a Cybermonday code

DAYMAKER 20% off $50 or more
Expires November 22, 2017 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

Some possible upcoming codes
TAKEFIVE

"New Member" Welcome Coupons
Welcome coupons may be dead -- or at least the type that have been available for nearly a decade. The latest set now have what appears to be single use codes so these probably no longer will be generic/multiple use style.

Doesn't say OOP on the official site.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

Where are you seeing that the Eclipse sets don't have the restriction? online or in-store? I checked Nikkatsu Noir online and it was saying "ineligible for coupons."

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

Hey Brooklyn, This would be great news. I went to the website and the early December releases do not show to be a part of the sale. Is this only in-store? If so, it would solve a holiday gift plan I have!

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

I just noticed looking at the pricing at the Barry Lyndon Blu-Ray on their site its $19.99 online but in store is $39.99. Will it come up at $19.99 in store despite this or is this sale online only? Thanks in advance.

FALLNOV17 still working online if the Criterion title doesn't specifically say no coupons. Used it on 'The Wages Of Fear'. Got it shipped for $18.14.

Yeah, fortunately this year I remembered to make a bee line for the front register and pick up the GCs first. Forgot to do that for the first purchases last year- though I still ended up making use of the cards before the end of the year anyway.

Picked up

Hopscotch
Barry Lyndon
Cat People
The Lure

Might go back and pick up Election and Rebecca if I can use my 20% off coupons, but my heart isn't really in this one this year. Too many other competing area of interest/expense at the moment.

The Last Metro
El Norte
In the Realm of the Senses
Bottle Rocket
For All Mankind

Man I'd hate to go through 500 titles, but there's 2 weeks left so if folks want to make a list. Randomly looked at at a bunch of others and never found anymore so it looks like they missed blocking a few of the oldest releases.
Thank you, hariseldon

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

I finally able to stop by a local B&N store to pick up a couple titles.

The Great Dictator (1940)
The Gold Rush (1925)
Personal Shopper (2016)

This particular store was out of the other Chaplin films I've meaning to pick-up, so I'll have to place an order online soon.

Unfortunately, it looks like Barnes and Noble disabled the coupon feature on their website for the Criterion movies. What a bummer.

Barnes has an Arrow Video sale where every one they carry is 50% off. It looks like they've excluded using coupons from the Arrow discs.

Target has everything off from 15 - 20% tomorrow and you can also buy Criterions from them, too, provided you search for the titles individually and not just type in "Criterion Collection." Somethings wrong with their...system, I don't know. Free shipping until December 23rd.

BN have the 100 Years of Olympic Films available at $200 as an instore ship-to-home pre-order. Website price is still $400ish. No coupons (CC, preorder), but a membership discount will put it down to $180+tax.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

I ordered five movies at the beginning of the month. Went on vacation for 3 weeks, got back on Sunday, and last night got around to opening the boxes that arrived while I was out.
One box had 4 titles - no problem there. All were fine.
The other box had just one - Barry Lyndon. It wasn’t shrink wrapped - just had the criterion sticker and the BN sticker right on the case. Also the inside of the case was damaged with one of the booklet holders broken off.
Anyone ever have this issue? It’s almost like I got a used copy, or like it’s a game from GameStop. Guess it’s too late to return since it’s been more than 2 weeks.

The official return period for online orders is 14 days *from when its delivered* so that might buy you a few extra days. But in any case its definitely worth trying to return it in the store. The BN managers can pretty much force almost anything through if they're willing, and your request for a return or exchange is more than reasonable.
