Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

20% Off Single Item Online
D4M8K3B
-- Unknown Expiration. Could be 11/24 or it could be Dec 31 exp

Store Only Coupon
25% Off One Item
coupon is valid at Barnes & Noble stores from November 24, 2017 to November 26, 2017 at close of business.

ONLINE ONLY
GIVETHANKS
valid 11/23 through 11/26 -- I'm guessing ending 11:59pm PT though it's possible they'll stop it ET and start a Cybermonday code

DAYMAKER 20% off $50 or more
Expires November 22, 2017 at 11:59pm Eastern Time.

Some possible upcoming codes
TAKEFIVE

"New Member" Welcome Coupons
Welcome coupons may be dead -- or at least the type that have been available for nearly a decade. The latest set now have what appears to be single use codes so these probably no longer will be generic/multiple use style.

VACATION worked on:

Being There
Tampopo
Ghost World
Blow-Up

It didn't work on any other in my wishlist.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

Ordered Tampopo with C3M9W9M. Took $5.00 off.

Code also works with Being There, Ghost World, Blow Up, Multiple Maniacs, Canoa. There might be a few more titles it works with, but I didn't check em all.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

Tried VACATION on an order with four titles. It only took $4 off.

The C3M9W9M code only worked on Ghost World, not Rumble Fish or Straw Dogs- But I was able to use it twice (second time was for a Warner Archive title).

Wasn't expecting to use any coupons this sale, so even getting $5 off is nice surprise.
Will be hitting the store when they open at 9 to pick up those other two and maybe a couple more.

Have to wait till the end of the sale to see about getting Stalker and Lost In America. I don't foresee making more than two trips this sale though.

Any ideas why neither version of "Tokyo Drifter" is discounted? (Online, I mean.)

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

in store as soon as they opened this morning and picked up the following

Short Cuts
Gilda
Blow Up
Straw Dogs
Chimes At Midnight
Rumble Fish

Gilda and Short Cuts were complete impulse purchases. May go back and grab Dr Strangelove and Cat People.
Otherwise I'll be waiting for the end of the month to pick up Lost in America and Stalker and that'll do it for me for this one.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

BTW, if you can't find a title at the B&N site (Rossellini's War Trilogy Blu-ray isn't coming up for me), Amazon is selling the same titles for a few dollars more. I'm using the Amazon Assistant in Chrome and it showed me their prices when I was at B&N. Also, the 50% link is glitching.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

Had six discs -- all recent releases -- in the cart with an $11.99 'VACATION' discount. Found that deleting two of them (Stalker and Lodger) didn't effect the discount, so I'm assuming they're not included due to being too recent or pre-order only? No biggie, as those two will be just enough to net me another $50 gift certificate at the next Flash Sale.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

Usually the location I go to I get a manager in the mornings and I hate trying to use any coupons with her.
Ironically, it wasn't her today, but the one guy who ALWAYS lets me use a coupon (or even more than one if they are different).

But at this point, I just didn't care. I may go back and try it (and then return the original purchase), but IDK. I already got $5 off online, so I'm still a little ahead the way I figure it.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

C3M9W9M worked on Ghost World, but on nothing else I wanted.

No combination of discs I wanted were eligible to bump the total up above $60, which is when VACATION goes from 10% to 15%. Since I have a membership and a local store, there wasn't really any advantage for using the coupon on just 10%.

What did the C3M9W9M code do? I'm having a problem with my order after I placed it.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

I got two titles last night for $15 each with that code but then I started playing around with the codes and cart contents BN.com actually blocked my IP due to "suspicious activity". I had to change my broswer and IP to get it back up and running.

Anyway, I picked up 10 titles today in store. Does anyone know if the local stores restock at all during the sale?

I'm betting the answer is no, but I'm wondering the same. A couple of movies I might bite on are listed with the 50% off price, but then it says "available in store or through our marketplace sellers."

A lot of them are priced at $22.97, but I'm not a member of Prime, so with standard shipping and taxes it shoots up to around $30.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

There's always the next 50% Flash Sale at Criterion's own site for stuff folks might miss out on here, which should theoretically be in late September or early October. Prices probably don't necessarily match B&N because of all the coupons, membership stuff, etc. (assuming you qualify and/or can use them before B&N changes the rules), but they do have a decent points system that pays out in $50 gift certificates.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

I got the 10% online coupon but that is really only good for picking up a title I can't find in store. You're pretty much better off shopping in store if you are a member. Man do I miss the $5 coupon days!

At least the 5/50 coupons still works like clockwork

3 19.99 Criterions for 16.32 ea -- easy peasy.
I have no idea what you are talking about. the 10% coupon is the same as the 10% membership discount that only works in store. AFAIK no other coupons are working at the moment.

Re: Barnes & Noble Criterion Sale 2017!

With most (if not all) coupons excluding Criterions now, it almost makes sense just to wait for Criterion's sale for anything you can't get in-store and get the 10% member discount. Even with the member discount, if you live in a state not taxed by Criterion, you basically break even on the membership discount and sales tax in-store and come out ahead with an online order.
