Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

I bought Robocop & their exclusive XBOX One Controller (which is $25 off). I just hate that I wont get them for two weeks.

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

Best Buy is doing everything they can to not get my money this week...
Things I want have been "sold out online", and now I try to go to the site and see it's "currently unavailable".

Not to mention: I went to a store yesterday, and the BD/DVD section was missing the product about every third spot.

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

The site seemed to have some serious problems early this morning when I made my order (maybe like 12am PST).

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

I got up early this morning for work 2:10AM Central Time (I work on a morning show and had to be at work at 3:30am). The site was very sluggish and I was about to give up and head to work, but I got everything that I wanted. I mainly wanted Hannibal Season 1 and Orange Is The New Black on blu-ray. I added a few things like Zero Dark Thirty, and Django Unchained to get free shipping and so I wouldn't have to deal with the lightning deals on Amazon:

Django Unchained (Blu-ray only) $3.99
Zero Dark Thirty Blu-ray $5.99
Orange is the New Black Blu-ray $9.99
Live Die Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow Blu-ray $7.99
Hannibal Season One Blu-ray $10.96

$41.65 with tax.

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

Best Buy was a joke, the site didn't work. It kept telling me to put in a phone number that was already there....for an account I have had for YEARS. Things were out of stock online, some things were only available for store pick up (only to be told none of the stores in Manhattan had it) and then the site went down.
Unbelievable.

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

San Rafael, CA store was still pretty busy when I came in at 4pm today.

Picked up the 3 Indy films. Last copy of The Last Crusade, there were still about 3 copies of The Temple of Doom and 4-5 copies of The Raiders of the Lost Ark.

For some reason The Last Crusade was scanning at $15.99. The cashier took my word for it and changed the price to $5.99.

Sold the Digital Copies on another forum, so I only paid about $3.90 out of pocket for all 3 films

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

I went to Best Buy tonight and honestly the selection of BF media was horrendously disappointing. Mostly old junk that has been on sale numerous times in the past. It looked like Best Buy wanted to clear out their stock of Bones TV on DVD along with several other FOX shows like Burn Notice and Archer.

It looked to me like they were trying to clear out old crap and not giving much or any good discounts of stuff that has been released in the last 12 months.

No sign of any decent recent TV on BD like Arrow season 2 or The Vampire Diaries season 5. Bummer. Oh well, I guess I'll save my money then.

Just teasing mainly; but we do have a thread here for selling codes. Unless you're making tons more over there, give us first crack at em!

Oh, I know you were

I had no idea there was a thread for selling codes. Thanks for the heads up about that.

Supposedly some of those $200 Panasonic TV's made it on line. They were sold out before I saw them.

2014 was the year when retailers decided offering cutthroat prices on Blu-ray television sets were not needed. I'm glad I picked up stuff at the Foxconnect sale, because BD television was entirely missing beside a few overstock situations like Magic City or Eastbound.

Most disappointing is that WB apparently didn't want to clear out excess inventory.

Same thing happened with me but the cashier told me that they may not price match the website. She then asked one of the supervisors about it and the supervisor flat out said they weren't price matching the website and refused to do it. So i ended up not getting Last Crusade. Got everything else i wanted though so it wasn't that bad.

Silver Linings Playbook is currently $3.99. Took me about 10mins to place an order on Best Buy's website, however.

There are some new $5 coupons up at coupons.com including the new X-men movie. If your local BB accepts these coupons(they should), you can get the 2D Blu-ray for $4.99.

Thanks for posting! I'll be picking up The Wolverine Unleashed at BB tomorrow, so I'll try the DoFP coupon. Was going to pass on it for $10 b/c of the extended cut coming out next year or so, but for $5, I'll enjoy and can always double dip if need be.

I hope that you made it to a BB yesterday. The price jumped up to $15 today.

Nope, I went yesterday and noticed the price jump before I left. So, I just tossed the coupon and didn't bother going into the actual store (this locations has their Pick-up section on the ground floor...actual store is up an escalator).

$5 is all I'll really spend on a title I know I will likely double-dip. I'm content to wait for the extended edition release in 2015.

Thanks for posting the coupon link though.
