Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

Knock me over with a feather, but I actually found the two items I was looking for today inside a Best Buy. It helped that I cheated and went directly through the stocker's cart, which had yet to be unpacked.

They have the diamond BD of White Christmas for $14.99, cheaper than anywhere else at the moment.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the difference between buying the Indiana Jones titles separately compared to the box?

The box set has an extra disc that has a whole bunch of bonus features (making of, behind the scenes type of documetaries etx). If you just want only the films, I'd just buy the titles separately.

Good looking lists.. once Amazon's LD schedule comes out, I'll start making my BF preparations.

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

Quick Q: Each LOTR EE movie is on one blu-ray each? Not split in two discs like with the EE DVDs?

I was hoping Frozen and Tangled would be on sale. At least Maleficent is on sale.

Can't say to the individual EE releases, but the EE Trilogy (Blu-ray) collection has the movies split across two Blu-ray discs.

Yeah, I was going to do this but then all of my stores to pick-up are unavailable, so I don't know if BB ships so that the items arrive on release day or not.

They do not send it out early, at least with the free or lowest price shipping.

Pre-order does give you 100 bonus My Best Buy Points though.

^ The cassette player packaging all together or the banners on the top and bottom of the cassette player in that picture? Cause you know those top and bottom banners is just paper packaging that you can throw away, right?

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

There's never anything I really want on Black Friday. Age of Extinction is a great price, but do I really want it? Probably not. And would I be able to get my hands on it? Probably not.

I'm hopeful that the annual Amazon price match next Wednesday bares those wonderful looking doorbuster prices at the B&M stores.

Yeah, the case looks retro and all, but for some reason, I don't prefer it, either. $20 is a chunk to spend when BF is next week.

Yes - call me old fashioned, but I like a cover to remind me of the movie - the other blu-ray packaging gets the point across.....When I see the cassette cover, I get images of John Cusack holding a ghetto-blaster over his head.

Fair enough.

For what it's worth, I'll probably end up with the regular case. I've got a few Batman steelbooks but aside from those I don't really care about them.

That is funny. The only 3 steelbooks I own are for Nolan's Batman trilogy. Don't own and don't care to own another.

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

I just learned about this app on bestbuy.com. You can earn $15 free (paid via gift cards or Paypal) for spending $100+ at BB on BF and Thanksgiving, plus you can earn from other stores and movie theaters, etc.
http://blog.ibotta.com/post/10202042...-savings-begin

Note that I did NOT include my referral code. I'm just sharing the information, since it's an easy way to get $15 free for spending $100 at BB. It's like getting Cashback for shopping in-store instead of online. You can also get $10 for spending $100 at Kohls, $1 for seeing Dumb and Dumber 2, and tons more...

Re: Best Buy 2014 Black Friday

Some of the BF prices are live now, looks like just certain titles from each of the price groups: Rush, Spartacus, Rain Man, Lone Survivor, Grimm, etc.
