Huh, I wonder if that's a recent thing, because I pre-ordered Insurgent and was charged the original 22.99 price, not the release week 17.99 price.

Re: Target deals

I suspect the Target issue is about when it ships. If the disc ships before the release week price drop, too bad, so sad. But one should be able to take get it adjusted if you are willing to go into your local store.

Re: Target deals

"Pre-order this item now, and if the price drops before the release date, you'll pay the lower price.
Language seem pretty intentional. Most Target price adjustments I have followed happened the day of release. So any pre-orders that ship before that date technically wouldn't have to be price adjusted. It's great that they give people a refund if they call, but probably intentional that the adjustment wasn't automatic.

But my local store is very close I so i have no problem playing this game and just going in for an adjustment as necessary.

I got two different emails. One last Friday when the movie shipped and another on Tuesday when the gift card shipped. So I better be getting a getting a gift card in the mail.

Also wanted to mention, The Evil Dead steelbook is $7.50 in stores this week. I picked up a copy during lunch, it looks good

Re: Target deals

The Target here was doing a full reset of the DVD section when I stopped by yesterday. Very few titles out/available at the time. While I was looking a manager came out and berated the guys doing the reset in the middle of the day because people couldn't find anything. No... I'd not complained but *did* find it somewhat humorous as I'd been thinking the same thing.

Negative. Here's an unboxing video, which shows the inner artwork at the 4:50 mark.

I did this last night for JW and he had no idea what to do, so just ended up giving me $2 cash

So assuming my gift card still comes in the mail, this ended up costing me only $6.99. I think I'm going to give this another shot with Inside Out.

Thanks. Really bothers me when they are too cheap to include inner artwork.

I also ordered Inside Out since it's an exclusive. Not sure what other $5 GC pre-order deals are exclusives.

Re: Target deals

Target's media reset apparently includes a new line-up of $5 BDs.

Re: Target deals

There's a Target.com coupon 'CARTWHEEL' available today that takes 10% off your order. Got pre-orders of some media titles. Terminator Genisys 3D ($26.99 w $5 gift card), and Adele target exclusive cd ($12.99). So 10% off plus my target card 5% makes these good deals. As pre-orders, I'll also have option to cancel if better deals come along.
Coupon is valid for all your orders today with some exceptions.

Thanks. Think I'm going in on the Terminator Genisys 3D as well.

Target also has the lowest prices to date for Homeland S4 and Vikings S3 (both of which Amazon has matched), but the extra 10% off (plus 5% with Redcard) makes it slightly better @ Target.

I'm also going to re-purchase the BTTF Steelbook with the coupon to save $3.

Re: Target deals

I put in some orders last night with the cartwheel coupon. Since they all came with the $5 gift cards, I figured I could always cancel if something better came along on release week.

Terminator: Genisys (Steelbook) (Blu-ray/DVD) - Target Exclusive
INSIDE OUT 3D TARGET EXCLUSIVE
Minions (Metalpak) (Blu-ray/DVD) - Deluxe Target Exclusive

Re: Target deals

I'll have to admit, with my limited experience with Target Online, they are doing a great job. I noticed this morning that both Terminator: Genisys (Steelbook) and Inside Out 3D both dropped a couple bucks, did a quick online chat with them, and they adjusted the price on both.

Re: Target deals

I noticed that My Fair Lady 50th Anniversary restored edition was $24.99 at the Target I was visiting. They only had a few on the shelf, and I scanned the barcode and it said "stockroom: no", so this may be limited. I don't see it on Target.com. Best Buy shows $34.99 and Amazon $35.99 today for the same blu-ray, so it should be a good deal if you can find it at your Target.

Re: Target deals

Does this "special" deserve its own thread? I was waiting for the price to drop on Amazon, and in reading about the disc on a home theater forum, saw a reference to Target's low price. That brought me here, where this thread confirmed that Target priced the movie at $25. I bought one at my local Target. As noted earlier, the disc is not listed at Target.com and the retail store has nothing denoting the price as a "special."

Re: Target deals

Bad news: I forgot to cancel my other order of Inside Out and it shipped today.
Good news: They continue their gift card / discount mistakes. They charged me $15.28 for the movie and shipped out the $5 gift card separately.

I asked them about this and was told that the way the promo works is that your order is discount by the gift card amount then you are later charged for it so that the price is whole ($19.99, comes with a $5 gift card, they will charge you $14.99, ship the gift card, then charge you $5).

You might want to check your credit card activity.

Re: Target deals

Ah fuck, you're right. The $5 gift card from Jurassic World just went through a couple days ago. Well, there goes that theory. They should at least show it correctly on the emails so you can expect to see two different charges.

Re: Target deals

My Target Inside Out Gift card came in the mail yesterday, I promptly turned around and used it to pre-order Minions with another $5 gift card.

I wish I could wait for that to arrive and then do the same with Hotel Transylvania 2, but I think all the current gift card pre-order offers expire at the end of this week.
