First time I've found a sub-$30 Criterion Hard Day's Night pre-order. I suppose I might find a better deal on that title if I waited, but I don't want to wait too long to get a deal on that one for fear of it becoming scarce.

Didn't read the fine print of the email I received, missed where it said One Day Only. Had a couple lined up ready to buy this morning, only to find out the 15% off coupon had already expired. One Day Only.....Cheap bastards. Oh well, saved myself $35.

Much higher demand than a normal Criterion release. And the other Beatles Blu Ray titles are already pretty hard to find in stores. For whatever reason the Beatles video releases always become scarce it seems..

Hadn't been keeping tabs on them that closely lately because everything I want is typically more at Deep Discount, even after the 15% Off. This time there were 2 that were actually cheaper and if I'd been a little more observant I'd have snagged them. But alas, I wasn't...

Oh well, maybe next time.

It's still a Criterion title and won't be difficult to find online unless they lose the rights at some point.

There are some new Kino BR's I wouldn't mind, but the only one with a great price on DD last night that I could find was White Zombie, & some are saying that the new VCI blu-ray is better than the Kino. With Beaver would do a comparison of the 2.

It's entirely possible I still overspent on that disc. But when I think of all I've spent on Beatles releases over the year, it's a drop in the bucket. I won't sweat it. At least I know I'll get it soon after release.

I wasn't commenting on what you paid; who am I to say what is an acceptable price for anyone. I was wondering why you were concerned about it being hard to get. I thought maybe you knew something I didn't.
