B&N 50% Criterion blu-ray sale now live through July 30

Sale is just starting to go partially live. May have to hunt to find 50% titles at the moment.

The B&N Criterion sale runs from July 10 through July 30.

Here's a link to the B&N coupon thread here.

Here's a direct link to the Criterion store at B&N.

Better hurry because the sale is working with b2g1f. Already have 2 orders in! Unfortunately can't get coupons to stack, but 3 titles for about $40 is not bad.

Here's a direct link to the blu-ray titles.

Order must be backing up because I've already received shipping notices on orders.

Wow -- based on the order numbers I have, they jumped 15000 numbers in 4 minutes. Wonder if that bodes well for this deal.

Just placed an order. Hope it goes through okay.

Even without the additional 10% member discount, this is well worth it for just over $14 per movie including tax.

Re: B&N 50% Criterion blu-ray sale now live through July 30

Got two more orders in.

Here's what I have:

Order #1: 12 Angry Men, Belle de Jour, Kuroneko $43.42

Order #2: Identification of a Woman, Letter Never Sent, Summer Interlude $32.56

Order #3: 8 1/2, The 39 Steps, A Night to Remember $43.42

Per $40 title average: $14.47 shipped
Per $30 title average: $10.85 shipped

Now to cross my fingers. All three orders are now showing in my history.

Insane deal if it goes through. Unless some super-great member coupon appears, I may not even have to set foot in a store for this one.

Unless I find a title that just sticks out and catches my attention then I think I am already done with the sale. 3 orders in and 9 Blu rays out is good enough for me.

Re: B&N 50% Criterion blu-ray sale now live through July 30

Looks like b2g1f has finally ended. I got in 5 orders for 18 different titles out of it. My last order I came out paying $12.78 average for six $40 list titles.

Still need to go to a store to get the David Lean and Noel Coward set. I couldn't find a good combination of titles to get it online before the sale ended. I'll wait to see if I get a good mystery coupon in a few days.

I should clarify that was the average price for each one. Because I purchased six titles two of them were free. I also used the $5 coupon on the first page of the coupon thread, plus a 5% rebate ($4.04 back) using my B&N Mastercard. May also pick up some cashback if it goes through I didn't figure in.

I really only want two titles this go-around, Being John Malkovich and 12 Angry Men. I have honestly everything else I want. Also trying to not just pick up movies because they are "Criterion". Got burned on a couple of titles I just did not care for (and have been sitting on Half.com for now about 3-4 months).

I recently sold off my Criterion DVDs. I found that almost all of them sold on my Amazon Sellers' account vs. my half.com account. I guess your more sophisticated aficionados don't really frequent half too much.....just my 2 cents.

I feared that . Most of my other stuff sells really well on Half.com but those Criterions (Cronos and Magician, both on blu) just won't sell. Oddly enough, I had a copy of Third Man on DVD (found it at an Antique Mall and turned it over...I kept my Blu-Ray copy), and that sold in a month which is good for me. I guess it just depends.
