Close to the same here. I bought disc #1 and a year later the EE came out. Having never read the books before the EE gives you more info. I also like long movies the give you the full feeling. The theatrical versions does not do this.

They know this was coming, give it a very little time. If no one buys them they will keep dropping till the get to $10/15 by the end of Feb 2012.

All three 2-disc BluRay theatrical editions were available at blowitoutahere.com for about $15 ($18 shipped) back in November. I mentioned it at the time, but nobody seemed to care about it then either.

I wasn't planning on buying "Thrones" because HBO series are usually over-priced, but if it hits the 34.99 mark like "Boardwalk" did the first week, -and if the set seems to have a comparable number of features, -then I'll definitely buy it.
