I'm thinking $49.99
I have it in my cart and it has been going up and down like a yo-yo for at least three weeks. Kinda funny.

Speaking of $39.99, that's how much Amazon is selling the Planet of the Apes 40th Anniversary Collection (Planet of the Apes / Beneath the Planet of the Apes / Escape From / Conquest of / Battle for) [Blu-ray] (1968) box set for right now.

Thank you so much for posting this! I wanted this deal and had completely forgotten about it by the time I got home from work. I just happened to come here and checked this thread, and your post served as a big reminder for me. When I went to Amazon, it was 96 or 97% claimed, but luckily, I had no issues with my order going through. And as I write this, I checked Amazon, and the deal is showing up as 100% claimed now. Whew. I really did get in just in the nick of time.

I noticed this is the 3-disc version and there's a 6-disc version (also on Blu). What's the difference, other than disc count? I'm on the waitlist for the 3-discer.

6 disc is the one I got last month at AMAZON for $15.49. It has DVD copies of the specials also. This one is only bluray.

Crap, missed it. I was soooo mad I missed the $15.49 price on the 6-disc a few weeks ago. This woulda made up for it. Oh well. Someday, it will be mine...

Heard many negative reviews on that. Not touching that on a blind buy.

I must've missed some discussion a few pages back. SethDLH is taking over for Lizard permanently or temporarily? I have no problem with that. I'm just curious. I liked that Lizard put links ("links for the lazy" like me) for most of the items, but I suppose even I (yes even I) can handle typing in words in a search box on Amazon.

Lizard said they'd be gone for 10-14 days, I'm just filling in to help us all out (myself included haha). I don't have the patience to do what Lizard does all the time and make it as useful and resourceful

I haven't seen it yet, but it was a divisive movie. You mention negative reviews, but it also got a lot of ecstatic ones as well. It also won the top prize at Cannes, though that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Can't we say that for nearly all titles?

Don't worry about the links. Hell, I never used them anyway. I think a little bit of typing will do some people good. It might be the only extra exercise some of us get.
