There were a few new ones here @ $5, but nothing that moved me to purchase. They are running an awesome deal on health Food Lara bars, though! I spent $41 on freakin' candy bars!

Not to burst your bubble but the 99cent Only Store had a whole box (18 variety pack) of Lara Bars for $1. I bought one box but when I went back they were all gone.

We don't have 99cent only stores here, & Dollar Tree didn't have them. Bought the last 3 boxes at BL

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

After having not shopped BL much in about 6 months (or more!), I stopped into the Willoughby, Ohio, store the other day and found a lot of interesting stuff. Yes, a whole lot of Fox BR titles, but more variety than I had seen in ages.

Man, I miss the good old days when I could walk out of any BL store with at least 5 DVDs in hand...

Not sure if I miss those days or not- I really don't have any more shelf space after all was said and done!

Brothers McMullen
She's the One

Those two come with surprisingly thick booklets, some of the bigger booklets I have seen from a Hollywood studio on Blu-ray. I believe the Rocky digibook carries the older, non-4K transfer.

I might have done All About Eve for $5, but that's it for me. I haven't seen it so far.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

A few more I saw today that I do not think have been mentioned:

$5
Mr. Woodcock
Shallow Hal
Arthur & the Invisibles 2&3 Blu-Ray/DVD combo
The Big Year Blu-Ray/DVD combo
The Great Debaters
Marley & Me 2: The Puppy Years
Our Family Wedding
The Secret Life of Bees
Water for Elephants
Bride Wars
Hope Floats

$3
Helldriver

Which version of Great Expectations is available at Big Lots? 2013 is mentioned earlier, but there are 2 listed as coming out that year in the US. One is a stage play and the other was directed by Mike Newell and stars Ralph Fiennes as Magwitch.

I found it somewhat disappointing considering Great Expectations is my favorite literary novel. While I didn't think it was a masterful adaptation, it is easily worth $5.

Thank you. I've never been a voracious reader, but I loved Great Expectations and (maybe for that reason) I have always felt each version of the film was disappointing on some level. For $5, I will keep searching my Big Lots since just about every other title listed on this thread has shown up at mine.

Saw the same selection down here in SoCal. I did buy the All about Eve digibook for $5. Kind of expensive without a 20% promo, but sometimes you just have to splurge...

Edit: The digibook was not slashed on the barcode. Actually the more I think about it, this batch of 20th Century Fox titles were not slashed.

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

I've been cruising by Big Lots more often lately since some of the prior posts.

Today, in addition to some of the ones mentioned previously, I saw and picked up

Goldfinger
Slumdog Millionaire
The Siege

Re: Big Lots Blu-rays

Spotted 'In Time' at my local BL for $5, definitely a movie worth owning for repeated viewing. !27 Hours also, not sure I could watch that more than once. The movie Rocky in some sort of fold out, not sure exactly what it was.

One I saw last week that hasn't been mentioned and would have grabbed if I didn't already own it was Miller's Crossing.
