I might buy too as long as the $5 off coupon still works making it $9.99. The Blues Brothers is one of those rare favorites of mine where I'll upgrade for $10 right away, even though reviews I've read say this is just a standard DTS (lossy) soundtrack and the extras are just the same SD ones from the Collector's Edition (minus a couple minor ones). At least we're getting both the theatrical and extended editions. So this is really just a picture quality upgrade. The Blues Brothers is one of a handful of movies I have pretty well memorized from overwatching it when I was young and had extra time on my hands. But boo hiss on Universal for not giving us DTS HD Master audio. If they come out with a double dip BD fixing the sound soon, I'll be mad I didn't wait.

I'm still going to buy The Blues Brothers BD for $9.99 as long as the $5 off $14.99 coupon still works... it has all 3 times I've tried it which as we know is a rarity for me to have any coupon success at youknowwhere. Hopefully it'll work once more. Even though the coupon has worked for me, I've only used it 3 times because there are not a lot of BDs I want to buy at $9.99... I prefer to wait for a bit cheaper.

Don't forget that the 25th Anniversary DVD, in the words of the IGN review, "for some inexplicable reason, Universal has saddled this [theatrical] cut with the original Dolby 2.0 audio and compared to the excellent 5.1 surround mix that was created for the extended version, it's an insult. Since the remix covered the longer version, it's hard to believe that they couldn't have just edited the track to fit the shorter version."
With a reportedly very good transfer and a good soundtrack, I don't see any point hemming and hawing over picking this up because it doesn't have a bullet point on the box. Heck, I watched Mean Girls the other night and it's has Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio and I don't think my surrounds made a peep all night. It was one of those "surround" tracks that make me wonder if something is wrong with my HT.

I bought the blu ray book of Dr. Strangelove. It was stickered and scanned at $14.99 or $9.99 after the coupon. Not sure if this is a new price point but it is the cheapest I have seen it. Amazon currently has it for $16.49.
