And here I was thinking after CC went away ads couldn't get any more sparse.

Might be a good deal for those that didn't pick up the Scream movies when Amazon had them on sale for $6 for a couple days

I'd grab Scream 2 for $5.99.

Scream 2 is on the same endthing as most of the 7.99 titles from the father's day ad. Sherlock holmes, Book of Eli, con air, The Guardian.. and more. Wonder if the whole endcap will be on sale.

They list Season of the Witch and The Warrior's Way...but not Lord of the Rings, Sucker Punch, or Beastly...? That's just bizarre.

I know it's been mentioned on the forums, but Amazon has been price matching off BB/Target/Walmart Ads.

I guess leaving off some of the more popular titles on release week, helps at least give Target a day or two before Amazon goes bonkers on the prices.

Also $5.99 are Kill Bill Vol. 2 and the earlier release of NCFOM or rather No Country For Old Men. Don't know if KB Vol. 1 is also on sale; my store had no copies and no tag for it.

I didn't know there was a BD re-release of No Country for Old Men. I just looked up the differences and it sounds like a better edition in terms of extras, but it's a moot point since I already picked up the old release at Blockbuster used for $4.

Does anyone know if Kill Bill Vol. 1 BD is also $5.99? That's still too expensive for me since I already have the DVDs and didn't like it that much... it was OK but not a title for me that would warrant a DVD to BD upgrade for more than a few dollars.

Why spend money on a movie you didn't like? Some of you people kill me...

Anyway, I picked up the first Scream. Last one on the shelf. There were lots of Scream 2 and some Scream 3.

The Matrix is $9.99 and this includes the digibook version if your store has any in stock.

They also had a 2-pack of Party Down S.1&2 (DVD) for $14.99.

My store had the new Robin Hood with Russell Crowe for $9.99, was very tempted to pick it up, but decided not too for now.

I saw a few others for $5.99 as well. In addition to the ones mentioned above, Chaos, Crank, and Shutter Island (the shelf was empty, but the tag was there...)

Shutter Island was likely the DVD, not the Blu-Ray

I didn't read your post when I was at my local target today. They had The Matrix on sale for $9.99. They had two copies left, one with the regular blu ray case and the other was the blu-ray book edition. I figured, "what the hell, let me ask a target employee if the book edition is also $9.99." Sure enough it was $9.99 and this reminds me that it pays to always ask.

Damn. Everything else on the same shelf was BD, so I assumed SI was too. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up...

At most stores I would agree, but Target has scanners all over the store. Scanning is also more reliable than asking some of the employees...
