Blockbuster 5 for $20 Sale (Previously Viewed)
I stopped by Blockbuster yesterday and was given a flyer about this upcoming sale. It starts Tuesday (5/17) and lasts through 6/6. 5 previously viewed blu-rays (or dvds) for $20. Anything $9.99 or less is included. I went through the blu-rays at one store and nearly everything has been marked down to $9.99 or less since the last sale. There were only a handful of titles priced above $9.99.
I can't wait until Tuesday! Update: 5 for $20 is DEAD The new sale is: 3 for $25 or 5 for $40 on NEW dvds/blu-rays $19.99 or less 3 for $15 or 5 for $25 on USED dvds/blu-rays/games $14.99 or less Good through the end of the year. Eligible Titles (not complete): Spoiler:

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky here. We had one close down, but there's still 3 I can get to in a 20 minute round trip.
I put together a partial list of the $9.99 titles during the 2 for $15 (man, and I thought that was a great deal), but I'm not sure where it is. If I can find it, I'll add it to the OP and include some of the ones that have dropped since. |

I was in my store tonight and they said the sale starts next Friday, the 20th, not Tuesday the 17th. They also said that they were adding a LOT of DVDs and Blus to the previewed list.

Hmm, I haven't given a Blockbuster any money since I quit working there in 2009, but this might send me back into a store. Of course I have to make quite a journey to do so since all the stores around me have gone out of business.

All Blockbuster stores in my area are too far out of my way now (I think 5 miles to the closest one instead of just 1 mile away before they closed most of them), and $4 for a used DVD isn't that great when if I wait long enough I usually can find what I want for $3 new at Big Lots or for $2 at Walmart or Amazon on Black Friday.

I guess maybe if you have really shitty gas mileage, that might up the price a little bit. However, I think that at $4 a blu-ray, it wouldn't that big of an impact.

I know it varies store to store but those eligible titles in the first post are all blus, right?
