I'll definitely buy Ferris. Already own the other two, and depending on the price I want the Bourne trilogy. I've seen it as low as 51.99...will it be beat? I hope

Thanks for posting!

I wonder what the Bourne price will be.

Will probably snag Ferris, $45 would be a nice one for Bourne...$15 each is fair.

It's the holiday season, so a price of $39.99 would be better.

What?! In this day and age anything more than $5-10 per BD is robbery!

Only for mainstream titles (like Bourne). Not for Criterion, Kino, Masters of Cinema, etc.

I don't think Amazon knows when the lighting deal for the FBDO Blu-Ray starts!

The calendar saids it will start at 12:00 pm PST.

When I click on the "Shop Todays Lighting Deals" link thats on the calendar page - it takes me to a page
that shows it being available at 4:00 pm PST with a countdown clock that saids it will be made available
in 6 hrs 12 mins 00 secs etc which for me is 7:00 pm EST aka 4:00 pm PST.

Since I'm interested in this lighting deal - I never got around to getting this on DVD - guess I'll be on at
first 3:00 pm EST (12:00 pm PST) to see if its available and then if its not, I'll be back at 7:00 pm EST
(4:00 pm PST) and get it then.

LB...

the Training Day deal sucks...its at $11.99 right now, so i'd save a whopping 2 bucks...this should be 6.99 or less

It was $4 at Target recently (still?) with their coupon.

Re: Amazon 12/14-12/18 Lightning Deal Calendar - Ferris Bueller's Day Off $6.99

Ferris Bueller says it starts at 4pm PST. After reading a few reviews, it sounds pretty average for $6.99. I could see double dipping on it for $4.99, but not at $6.99 since it's basically the same as the "Bueller... Bueller..." SD edition I already have except for the video and audio are better (reviews say the transfer isn't particularly sharp or detailed compared to the SD). Extras are no different and the trailer is missing.

So I think I'll pass on the Ferris BR... unless someone can help convince me why it's worth $6.99 to upgrade my SD edition... Anyone? Anyone?

Re: Amazon 12/14-12/18 Lightning Deal Calendar - Ferris Bueller's Day Off $6.99

I'm getting Ferris because it has the extras from the BBE version that I don't have. However, I have the original FBDO DVD with the John Hughes commentary which was jettisoned for some reason on the BBE. (I HATE when they do that!)

Mia Sara is sooooooo fine in this, AMIRITE?!?

The only way I'd upgrade to the Blu-ray is if it had the commentary that was missing from the DVD. Blu-ray players need a way to import .mp3s of commentaries and play them over films.

I agree 100%. I really want the Bourne Trilogy but if it's not near $30 then I will continue to hold out.

Just curious- are you considering Amazon.co.uk? They are currently offering a region-free Bourne Trilogy BR for that price.

Didn't have Ferris on DVD, so 6.99 for the BR can't be beat.

I missed out on Ferris. I guess it wasn't a priority for me.

I just happen to catch this deal for FBDO. Definitely worth it for Mia Sara in 1080P.

Now I gotta import the commentary track...

I already have the Bueller Bueller edition of the DVD. Is the blu-ray really worth the upgrade? The blu-ray reviews I've read don't seem to indicate the video quality is that good compared to say upconverting the DVD.
