Terminator Salvation & Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - $19.99 each @ Amazon

Don't know if this is a "deal" or not but I just noticed both price drops on Amazon. I'm assuming this is the lowest price your going to see them going for awhile so get them while they're hot!

They also have Star Trek ($24.49) and Monsters, Inc ($28.49) on sale

I also noticed My Sister's Keeper at $19.99.

Don't know if it's technically a bargain or not, especially for people not interested in buying these BDs before their price drops but considering the MSRP and prices of other similar new releases, I think $19.99 is pretty good.

Thanks for the heads up -- saves me a 1-hour trip in DC traffic on release day :-)

Looks like Amazon is getting ready for most stores (i.e. Wal-Mart) releasing these at $19.99. Good to hear!

agreed - still a little high for my taste... i dont need the stuff on release day most times... but it is an encouraging trend to see new release blu at the 19.99 price point...

^I had the Harry Potter BD in my gold box yesterday. I put in an order, but will probably cancel it eventually. $18.99 is still too much to pay for a title that will be bargain priced in six months to a year.

I think that is true with all titles. In the long run they all get cheaper eventually. But I would rather enjoy it now and buy it than wait a year to save maybe $5.00
$18.99 is a real good price for a new release blu ray.

I'm tempted on "Terminator Salvation" but I'm hoping that some B&M stores will have a deal to get the second and third on blu cheaply.

"Harry Potter" I've waited this long I might as well hold out for the "everything except the kitchen sink" collection.

$18.99 is now the "regular" sale price for Harry Potter, Four Christmases, & Terminator Salvation.

$18.99 is a real good price for a new release blu ray.
In most cases, I'd rather wait a year and get it for less than my usual limit of $10 per BD, a price that is almost certain to happen. It is not as if I don't have plenty of other discs to watch in the interim. Being thrifty is how I am able to afford my home theater hobby.

I never understood the "gotta have it NOW!" mentality that is so prevalent here. There seem to be plenty of people who buy on release day, yet have large piles of unopened DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. Go figure.

I saw that Hangover is also $19.99 ($18.99 in my quick picks). Nice to see some aggressive pricing by Warner and Amazon on their big releases this fall.

Terminator is down to $18.99 as well.

Now if Hangover and Terminator hit my Gold Box for an additional discount off the $18.99 price I would definitely be interested in ordering.

Amazon automatically adjusted my Harry Potter price to $17.99 and kept the 90¢ gold box coupon, making the net price $17.09. They also shipped the other BD I had in the order (for free shipping) early, so I can't cancel now and am locked in. Oh well.

Awesome on the price drops Amazon has been kicking ass with ~$20 new releases.

So is that how it works? I had an order of "Up" and "Snow White", but I'd like to cancel my order of "Up" to go after the "Up/Monsters, Inc." deal. Am I sort of locked in to that original deal?

Wal-Mart has them at $16.99, do they charge shipping?

Once an item is being prepared for shipping it is no longer possible to cancel an order. You could still cancel the Up pre-order from your order but then you would pay a shipping charge for Snow White.

In my case, if I canceled Harry Potter from my order, I would pay shipping on the BD that they have already shipped, because it is priced at less than $25. I was hoping that they would wait and ship both BDs together, but Amazon has done this to me before, so I can't say I am surprised, although it seems inefficient for them to send each BD separately in a large box when I have selected free shipping.

You could call Customer Service and ask if you can add Monsters, Inc. to your order and get the $10 discount on Up. It would be hard to explain, but a knowledgeable CSR might be able to do it for you.

shipping and sales tax though they do have free site to store shipping which when youthink about it the amount you probably spend in gas to go to the store is about what the shipping would cost.

I have never been charged shipping on a item that has allready shipped with free shipping if i canceled the second part of the order before release date.

for example i had snow white, and the last star fighter on the same order I canceled snow white after starfighter shipped when i got in on the best buy pre order, but still didnt have to pay for shipping for previously shipped Last starfighter which at the time of shipment cost me only 17.99.
